Welcome aboard. You got the right color! I see you use the Ann Arbor dealer. They seem really nice there. A few of us Ohioans stopped there last summer on our way to the Buell Homecoming. I, of course, had a bright red Ohio State shirt on as I entered the dealership. There were 5 of us and they gave each of us 2 free shirts! I miss Lloyd! |

Excellent pick-up. Correct color *AND* vintage... If you had all the '07 and '08 tweaks, what would you have to keep you busy all winter? For sure, check out Treadmarks thread about the upgrade to the '08 triples (if you haven't already...) I'm thinking about taking my '06 that direction now that winter has set in... Welcome to the club! |

Welcome you guys! And Gene, at least one of us wasn't from Ohio(no offense, but really, I am originally from Pennsylvania.I couldn't let that slide.) A most enjoyable trip, to be sure! And I still wear the Buell hat from Ann Arbor. |

Cool choice in bikes! Got my 06 end of August (Fast Orange, though) replacing my 04 12R. 6k miles +, and I couldn't be more satisfied! Maybe a bit more fairing, as I've still been riding here in NEOhio- and it's been freakin' COLD! |

the 'new' orange 06 was about $1k more. for that price I can pick up the plastics and seat to change it myself. for now the black will do |

Welcome...I have an 06 with 35K miles, if you want to trade me for the new one you won't have to worry about the break-in period..and it's Orange too. On second thought you might have to throw in a little boot money... |

Congrats Byron. Save your money on the shortbuss orange, as almost everyone knows the black is faster! Welcome to the jungle Brother. |

I read on the internet that the black absorbs more energy from the sun causing it to go faster. Must be true because its online and we all know thats the final word. |

"the 'new' orange 06 was about $1k more. for that price I can pick up the plastics and seat to change it myself. for now the black will do" are you sure you don't have that backwards? Black motorcycles ALWAYS bring a higher resale value when trading them in! and that orange seat! if that isn't the ugliest seat I've ever seen on a motorcycle, I don't know what is! when I first saw the pictures of the 2006 Uly, I didn't like it because of that ugly orange seat. But when I saw the first one in person, a black one I might add, I liked it and ended-up buying one. Over 16,000 miles and runs like new. No problems of any kind with the exception of two speeding tickets! It's just too fast and fun to ride under the speed limits. Enjoy your new Uly! |

Can't completely disagree on the orange seat (friends all thought it had a cowl on it), but my orange 06 looks fine with a black 07 seat! |
