Wow - just talked to a gal with Sentry. Might be going there, she said right around 500 a year for liability on my Shovelhead and full on the 1125R. Cha-ching Z |

Sentry Dairyland is wonderful; they get all my business. Unfortunately they are not in all states, but they were in a different league from everyone else. I have a number of bikes and a bad driving record (no wrecks, no DUI, just SPEED!), so who I go with makes a BIG difference in $ |

I only pay $900 a year for a 2005 Ford 500, 1995 Mustang Cobra, the house and the 1125R. All this through USAA. If you are in the military or government job. My insurance only went up like $50 a year because of the 1125R. I am 32 living in Texas with a clean record. (just never caught!) No I really drive safe. |

Cobra, Is covering Motorcycles new for USAA? I tried a few years ago and they said that they didn't do motorcycles? I think I have the house, the Z06, trailblazer and life insurance with them for $1400. I get one ticket per year. |

USAA stopped starting new motorcycle policies about three years ago. What they do is underwrite (I think that is the right term) the policy from GEICO. But all my payment and policies still say USAA. If you have a policy with them do not cancel. But you can change bikes without a problem. Ask them if they underwrite through another company. I had motorcycle insurance with them for like 5 years now. no problems at all a good prices. |

I had Progressive in the 90's until they went up a lot in one year. I switched to Dairyland at that time and saved a bunch. Last year Dairyland went way up and I saved a couple hundred bucks by switching back to Progressive. I'm 50 with a clean record. Full coverage (and NOT just minimum limits) cost me about $1000 for all 5 bikes (see profile pic). The Springer, Uly and 'bolt are each about $250ish. The S1W and Sporty are each under $100. I just called Progressive again. This time I had a VIN. The 1125R is in a different class than the Uly or 'bolt. 'High Performance' the lady said. $1100 per year with the same coverage I currently have or MORE THAN my other 5 bikes COMBINED!!! She suggested I think about another brand!!! Well, that's not gonna happen!!! If anyone wants to check their rates, here's a VIN: 4MZHL04D683Bxxxxx (substitute numbers for the X's) |

Just got my quote with USAA in Massachusetts for 965 per year with decent coverage.... I am 32 with a clean record. Massachusetts insurance regulations suck. (Message edited by andella on December 08, 2007) |

The digit after the "D" - I think the owner's manual called it a VIN check number, changes also. Mine is NOT a 6 Z |

I pay $11 a month to insure my S3T... WTF? And, I thought that's full-coverage with Progressive.... Maybe its not full coverage after all... I better pay closer attention, but if it really costs $1,000 bucks per year to insure an eleven, I guess I won't be owning one... (Message edited by naustin on December 11, 2007) |

State Farm just quoted me 532.24 for a year, w/1000 deductible. It would be cheaper than my Firebolt! I was told they base the price on the CC of the engine. |

I want one SOOOO bad! But I will need to wait. I need to get a better handle on the Bolt at the track before I buy a new bike to wad up at Mid Ohio. I just don't like the blue frame and wheels, I want to sit back and see what the first round of buyers think of it after they have had if for awhile. I want see what mods people do to them....... I don't have the cash..... |

Got a quote from Gieco yesterday. $340/year, $500 deductible. $288/year, $1000 deductible. I'm in Oregon, 40, impeccable record. My bank requires no more than a $500 deductible. Bugger. JJ |

Set up insurance at AAA in SoCal today. Not bad.. $465/yr (on my multi vehicle policy) Ded 250 on comp and 750 on collision. With high liability limits. But then again I'm "mature" (in years only) and clean record (driving and cred. score) |

I had progressive, called them from GHD as I was making the deal on my 1125. The rate went up 1000 per year and the deduct went from 500 to 1000 . I got a quote from Geico the other day, it was $550 for a year, with 500 deduct. The girl I talked to knew her stuff and sounded cute too. Needless to say I canceled my progressive policy |
