Anonymous Any way we could get a template setup like the one from the TT Design contest. Then the PhotoChop guys like myself could put some real thoughts on paper so to speak..... Thanks Micah |

+1 on template design. Give me a palette to do actual work on instead of chopping my [stolen from Buell] pics. !! :-X ~Dunte Banjo- I think to be compliant everywhere they have to have the license plate hanger and [ugh] mirrors. I'm not sure but I figure there's gotta be a reason EVERY sportbike co. does them that way... but +1 on the stitched seat logo and ++1 on the ghosted pegasus logos- I very much like that thought. |

I like RW&B but how many times has that been done? Not just motorcycles but in general. Those three colors do not really stand out as unique and innovative now which is what I think about when i think about Buell. The paint should be just as outrageous as our bikes. A tasteful silver paint with some really wild accent color would be great with some white wheels. I am not really artistic otherwise I would draw something. I can't believe I recommended silver and white. Two colors i normally can't stand. I just think they would look really different on a buell. I can only think of Signguys bike that had silver paint on it. Other than that I can not really think of too many silver Buells (XBs anyway). |

Keep the traditional white Lightning theme for plastics. Then use the 1125r blue on frame, swingarm, wheels and headers. |

If using the stars and stripes it would have to be in large super sparkly metal flake! |

Still partial to the Thruxton killer, that goes back to the tuber frame front look, but keeps the firebolt XB tail section. And of course in a graphite silver, with black stripe, and orange Buell lettering for the 25th motif (think Elenore from Gone in 60 seconds)

I think something like one of the first Buell I ever saw, it was a S1 with the orange paint and nuclear blue frame and wheels, I think it would mix the past and the present being on a XB. (Message edited by js_buell on December 06, 2007) |

Did anybody save the template for the TT? That'd at least get things started. |

I personally don't think silver would look very good.... I think back to the 03 V-Rod in that aluminum silver.... some of the hardest bikes to sell!!! |

I liked that aluminum silver! I'd love to see an XB with the 'plastics' in that aluminum silver, and all the metal (frame/swingarm/wheels) black. (Message edited by Mikef5000 on December 06, 2007) |

So a black front fender? No powercoating the exhaust again? No stainless exhaust? hmmmmm. The Orange/Black would be cool and traditional (for Buell) but do you want to give a nod to the parent co? White/White always looked good

If it's a 25th it should be the colors of that Barton engined Buell. Orange/white/black? |

Josh- That is the Buell that hooked me, except with the PM wheels. That is a bad*** Buell! I like the silver idea the more its discussed. But with the goodies I suggested. |

Just so people are not confused. This is not a factory effort nor something that Buell Motorcycle is considering. This or we are a private party that are looking for great idea's from Buell enthusiasts like yourselves. Thanks for all the great input. We are trying to put something together for a design that is clean and tasteful. |

Ya'll need to get out of my head!!!! This is what I have been working on putting together for sometime now:
All the trimming in candy blue(like the blue you see already here, just more of it) white plastics(just got these today) with ghost blue and red star, and eventually the newest blue rims that Buell offered us this year. |

How about a tube frame style flyscreen over a single headlight, white bodywork with Nuclear Blue racing stripes and wheels, and a brushed aluminum finish on the frame and swingarm? (and make sure there's a Pegasus on there somewhere!) |

Blue and white, with a strong pegasus theme (something bold and prominent, but not busy), and a round headlight adaptation would be *very* cool. |

The original Buell was Curaco Blue and for a very good reason. I'd like to see something evolve that showcased that story, it's evolution and glory. The Pegasus logo, and I confess that the goofy current watered down one does nothing for me, could be integrated discreetly and I'm thinking I'd even letter in in "classic Buell" font. It'd also be cool to have a certificate of authenticity and I've designed what I think would be an awesome one. Way ahead of you.

hmmm, what if the bike was a silver color to keep with the 25th scheme, with a blue frame and put a red racing stripe down the center with white inlaid stars with the pegasus "ghost image" within every other star and a very thin blue line that follows the outside of the red stripe..... |

I'd really like to see an update on the Pegasus theme as far as the logo goes as well. I remember seeing a winged horse in a movie when I was a little kid, and it made a huge impression on me. My mum, who was a hell of a horseback rider in her day, remarked that I finally had my winged horse when I brought my Firebolt by to show it to her at the Alzheimer's care facility she was living at. (She would have had no idea that the Pegasus was a Buell trademark.) "Too bad it wasn't White, though!" she said to me just as I fired it up to head home. It was the last time she ever recognized me. It's white now. |

A red, white and blue scheme makes me think of my friends VFR. BTW, I rode my friends 2007 VFR and it is a very nice bike (V4 engine) So the scheme should be different from this one of course. |
