Author Message   Kaveman Posted on Friday, December 07, 2007 - 03:12 pm:        Hey All, Just installed the "upgraded" side stand to my '03 XB9SL. The pin setup is far superior to the half pin/half thread setup. I had to do away with the safety switch(soldered/shorted it)as well. Now the bracket that holds the spring/plate to the stand seems to stick out quite far. Should I be looking at the newer bracket as well? Is the standoff on the bracket for the spring shorter? TIA. New "pin" version seems much more sturdy. Now to see if the mount plate is different on the later model setup... Kaveman
