Congrats dude. You have no idea how much jealousy is running around the Badweb right now. The first reported 1125r to the public. All I can say is wow! |

well...there is no better feeling for someone who rides than getting a new bike...its like xmas when u were just old enough to get excited and u still believed in santa...any il conceived notions of the bike pales in comparison to that new bike feeling....have fun man. To answer a couple more questions the last four numbers of the vin are 0206. and the passenger seat is not stock its the touring pillion. The fattest one they have so my wife wont complain when i take her on a 6 hour ride. Its also a nice buttstop so i dont fall off the back and get run over by the ricers who will be behind me from now on. |

Im going to leave it stock for a while the only mod im doing is cutting off the cheese grater that holds the license plate. Also i'd like to add that the photographs on the net dont do it Justice. Its about 100 times better looking in Real Life. And the turn signals are almost blinding. They light up the road at night. Its also nice having 2 headlights. Got tired of people telling me one of the headlights was out on my Xb9. |

This late in the year token gesture hardly warrants people claiming the 1125 is a new model for 2007 when the first ones delivered are done so with less than 30 days to the end of the year. I just wanted to make a point about the hypocrisy from some when we hear them speak about other manufacturers bringing their models to market later than stated. Thank you. Carry on. Rocket |

Richard - You going to work today? I've got one day off left this year, it's getting used the day after mine shows up. She'll be broke in the first day. Crossing my fingers for today or tomorrow. Z |

I suppose somewhere . . . something in here matters to someone in the world, perhaps influences their buying decision. I'm sure there are people whose threshold of personal indignation dips to the level of ascribing insult when a manufacturer rolls a bike out the door 30 days beyond the initially announced target date. Good. I confess all this reminds me of is when my Dad went to apply for his social security benefits. . . . Fed: "When is your birthday?" Dad: "December 1st" Fed: "Okay . . November" Dad: "No, I said December 1st" Fed: "yes, I heard you . . but for our purposes December 1 is November" I've never understood this and, as in the instant case, intend to spend nearly no effort trying to . . . comforted by the fact that there are others in the world tasked with understanding and commenting on the mundane minutia. |

This isn't the thread for it, but you already knew that.

If Buell had announced the 1125R back in 2003 as an upcoming model, you might have a point. Buell first showed this bike to us in July and called it an '08 model, let us ride it by September, and now owners are riding theirs in December. That's some 3 years faster than anything KTM has done for us here in the states. If Buell doesn't deliver them to the UK until 2010, they'll be on par with what KTM has done here in the US. |

(OT) Hey Court, My Dad's birthday was December 1, too. I don't know if the social security people told him they considered that November or not. Of course, they DID tell my mother that the birth date she had gone by since 1919 and which was listed on every official document she possessed was wrong because it disagreed with their records (by just a few days), and it would be easier for her to change than for them to change their records. |

This is a great example of miserableness. Good for Darkice19 on getting a new bike! Rocket spews: "This late in the year token gesture hardly warrants people claiming the 1125 is a new model for 2007 when the first ones delivered are done so with less than 30 days to the end of the year. Congrats, Nice to see they are hitting the streets. I won't see one here for about 6 months because I think winter is here. The 7 day outlook had snow everyday. Good look to your dealer being the first to get one on the street. |

Congratulations Dark Ice Man! Your BadWeB handle seems almost prophetic in light of your current circumstance.
Anyone in the vicinity of Yorkshire, England, please send a medical rescue team to the home of one Sean (Rocketman) Pepper, who has firmly lodged appendage into bodily orifice; which appendage and which orifice are not immediately clear, so please advise that they should be prepared for the worst and have latex gloves at the ready. |
