Hey y'all...Quick question: I'm eyeballing this swingarm on ebay as a polishing project. It's for a '99 but I have an '02. Will this fit with no problems/mods? If it does, can you guys not bid me out? LOL, I decided to go with a polished look instead of blacked out. =) I am a weirdo and don't want to customize any of the "stock" parts, rather buy other parts, and keep the stock parts, well, stock. Call me a purist, but I have every part I've taken off..=) Thanks!! |

I believe it hadn't changed between '99 and '02 and was the same on all the Buell twins of that period, so it should work fine. |

Sorry Brinnutz, by the way the post read I thought you had already bid on one, I didn't realize it was this one. I'm paddling in the same boat with you. I want one to polish I just don't want it to be my stock one. I see you've already outbid me so I will let it ride. I only put in a bid because the seller said that so many were watching but no one was bidding and they would take it off. Good luck, hope you win. We need a tab on here to keep up with who's bidding on what. Dibs on the CF front pulley cover. |

Mm128 do you know what you will want out of the spare swingarm? I'll be taking my wheels off sometime after the new year to replace the tires and that would be an opportune time to swap them. Drop me a line if you don't mind. Michael |

Kyro, hey man, sorry about that, I didn't think to check who bid on it till after I put a higher bid. I didn't read what the seller said. I have been watching the swingarm since about an hour after it got listed. =) Thanks by the way! I agree, there should be a thread here for ebay listings so we don't outbid each other. Maybe we should start a thread titled : "I'm bidding on X item...Just a heads up" Would be nice so we aren't polling money against each other ya know? |

Thanks, your color scheme was my second choice but I'm a sucker for limited editions. There was an M2 in Arizona last month that I would have loved to have. luckily this carbon fiber is starting to get semi-affordable through outlets like the bay. I bought the lower belt guard last week for $35 shipped. Now I'm eyeballing the front one, already lost two. Anyway, who do we notify for a e-bay tab? Every once in a while I'll see a thread about a bike or something but nothing about parts. I guess if two people wanted it bad then the gloves come off and money talks. Good luck again! |

Ahhh, the classic catch 22. You could work for the last company I did, Martek Biosciences. They hired three supervisors who actually knew zilch about the process I was running. Did me lots of good to call them. |

Why doesn't one of you buy that one on e-bay, then get it polished and agree to sell the old one to the other person after you install the polished one? Seems like a simple solutiion to me. |

I can't speak for Brinnutz but I'm anal about my bike. I have EVERYTHING that I've ever taken off the bike in a big box under the house and various small boxes in the garage. I'm looking for one that I can cut the inner fender tabs off of and either paint or polish and still keep my original. That's just me. "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me." |

Im very anal about my bike, but at the current time, i really have no plans on ever getting rid of it, so most parts either wind up on the shelf, sold off, or in the trash if they are worthless. |

Sorry Brinnutz, saw you lost it in the last few minutes. I didn't win the truck I was bidding on either. Just not in the cards I guess. |

I put one on the classifieds a while back, still have it. I was a bit reluctant to ship it, but I'll box it up and get it out to any of you B'webbers if ya gotta have one to polish. See my ad (I'll bump it to the top of the parts & accessories for sale thread) and make me some silly offer for it. What did it cost for the shipping for that one you missed on ebay? AL |

It went for $38.50 + $18 to ship it from NJ. That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Al if no one jumps on it in the next couple days I'll pm you 'cause I need some muffler packing also. |

Not to rub salt in the wound but you still had it with 13 minutes left. I though you'd walk away with it. What about this one Al has? If no one takes it I'm going to place an order and have him ship it along but it looks like there may be a swap developing. |

Kyro, BTW, I'm anal as hell, I was buying that swingarm to polish, so I wouldn't be touching the stock on in case I ever wanted to put it back on, or just to say I had the stock one, LOL Oh yea, I wasn't able to get on a computer when it ended, Meh, I don't want to think about it anymore. DAMMIT! |

I think I'm leaning more towards painting mine (the one I get, not my stocker). My old camaro turned me against chrome and anything shiny. First time my push rods come out those covers are history! I just happened to be on last night after the kids went to bed and checked it. I always curse those that wait until the last minute to undercut ya' but in their defense if I had my maximum bid in then that's what I was willing to pay. Say La Vee, Americanized of course! |

Yea, I know, max bid, I put a "max" bid on there, but if I can catch the madness they call bidding on ebay, I get caught up in the moment and then continue to buy. Example, I bought the original style saddlebags, complete set from a guy on ebay, and paid $350 because so many dam people wanted them! Ugh, now I wore a hole in the bottom because the straps came loose and it rubbed my tire..Doh! |

Am I to understand that the swingarm sold for $38 (plus shipping)? Sounds like a steal to me! I have an extra one in my garage, I polished my original and picked up a second one as I thought about getting it chromed then sell my polished one. Now I have been slowly assembling M2 parts to keep for future use. I plan on keeping my bike many many years and I believe it may be hard to come across the body and other Buell specific tuber parts in another 10 years. At least I know motor parts will be easy to come by! |
