So far parts have been plentiful both on eBay, and direct from Kawasaki. That KLR-250 had a 20 year production run, and was still being made in 2005. Most parts are priced reasonably (so I buy new) and some are absurd (so I buy ebay). I see why the thing was made for so long... I rode it to work today just for fun. It really hits a nice functional sweet spot. "Good enough" for the road (after you put a $hundred in brake upgrades), and "lots of fun" on the trail. I like your idea of technical "you got that through there?" fun, rather then "you went how fast through what?". Or just a nice ride through the woods with a fishing pole. Hmmmmmm..... Sigh...... |

Mark had his first race. Read all about it on quick board. Wish him well as he turned 40 and decided to start racing! He is a great guy to know. |

anyone for a sunday ride down to the Ohio River and back? Not sure on route yet, but I usually just wing it. Past couple of times have been down 23 up 7 to 93 and then screw around until I find a way back to cbus. I'll probably leave early 8-9 a.m. |

Well i figured i'd see how everyone is doing. I'm busy as always just a heads up i know where their is a piece of crap S1 for sale. Ha Ha Ha The guy i traded it to is getting rid of it. I told him i'd give him $700 dollars for it. I think he wanted to smack me. I'm still undecided on what my next one is going to be. Should i give buell another shot. Or say hell with it and buy another brand. I'm hoping the Cleveland bike show will help me with my decision. Well talk to you guys later. |

I would like them to do more events! Lets see one at Nelson Ledges and other tracks within a few hours of central Ohio! Or just a couple (10?) events at Mid Ohio! And I'd like them to have the entire demo fleet! I'd LOVE to ride a TT or firebolt on a track! Ahhhhh, I can't wait for next season. |

Once they post the Inside Pass dates for next year we should get a group together to go to VIR or Barber or Pocono or..... |

I had to skip out on my Inside Pass track day this year. So I am eager to join up with any group from Ohio going to any other tracks for The Pass in 2008. I plan to make at least two of them. Nelson Ledges would be great but I don't think they have the attraction factor like the other tracks do. Buell will probably skip them. Anyway, is anyone from Ohio volunteering to coordinate a group ride to an Inside Pass in 2008? In or out of state? |

My Honda buddy and I are already planning... so when they get announced I expect we will try and sign up for a couple of the more local ones. We will probably be trailering there (unless Buell provides all bikes all the time), so no group ride, but we will have tools and a place to leave your gear if you do ride up. |

My Bolt isn't street legal, so I will be going via trailer. I have a 15x5 open trailer that we could fit 4 bikes on. The problem is getting the trailer+bikes+gear+rider all in one spot for the trip. |

Reep, Wolf, all it takes is to get the conversation rolling early enough, and then we all can join in on the planning. It's always good to have one guy the main contact person though. I'm willing to be that if nobody else accepts it. I don't have a trailer or anything else to offer though. |

It will be nice to meet more people next time. This years was my first track day, and I was staying focused on not embarrassing myself |

1) I would love to go with a group to some further away events! I couldn't take many days off, but I could deffinately get a couple. 2) I also want to meet more people. I basically hung around those I knew, and focused on the riding. I'm thinking about following Marks lead, and making a nice T-Shirt with my screen name on it. I have access to a 2 bike trailer, full size van, tons of tools, and plenty of blue tape. |

Also! Fellow Ohioans, Please take a look at my Trans Siberian Orchastra thread in the Quick Board. I'm looking to see if anyone wants to go to the concert with me on December 27th. Let me know! |

I plan on doing at least the mid-ohio inside pass and one Nelson Ledges track day. I'd love to do a second inside pass event too! We should organize a Nelson Ledges track day (unless there'll be an inside pass event there). |

I second the Nelson Ledges Track day motion. Not sure how to arrange it unless we go through Fasttrax or whatever that track day group is called. I can contact the folks at Nelsons and see what they suggest. |

Nelson, count me in! A Friday before a Fasttrax event would be the day to shoot for. They had classes and open practice last year on Friday and racing on Saturday/Sunday. I hope to go to Cleveland for the IMS and Fasttrax should have a booth set up. Last year they gave 50 bucks off for anyone who signed up during the IMS |

Sounds good! I'm willing to sign up for a date at the IMS in Cleveland. Thought! Atlanta has their IMS a few weeks before ours. We should get one of those guys to write down the dates. Once we have the dates we can make a decision, and then anyone going to the IMS can sign up for the same date and get the savings. And anyone not going to the show can just sign up online. |

According to Terry (the best sales guy at AD Farrows) There are 9 people with appointments to see the 1125r this friday. Get over there and see it soon, it may be disappearing quickly! I hate to add another topic to this thread at the same time (what with track days, IMS, and the ONE at farrows already going on) But I just wanted to add a blip here in case anyone is interested. Wolf, Thumper, and I are starting to plan for March Badness 5. The tenative info is leave columbus area at 6:30 AM Thursday March 27th. Hit the dragon late afternoon and have a quick meal at the dragon den. Then proceed to TWO, arriving somewhere around 5-6:00. The timing worked out GREAT last year. |

Mid-O also has a couple of events which are mostly ducati related but they welcome buells too. I was going to sign up last year but had to decline due to cash flow, they were 185 bucks for a track day. Not sure who was sponsoring them but the price wasn't bad... |
