Jim, I'm confident that Ray Price will do well by you. Were you able to notify anyone there that you were having issues today? |

Trish and I ran the Victory Junction 1/2 marathon yesterday. What a great event. The Petty family really has a good thing going with that kids camp. Richard signed our ribbon/medals after the finish. If there are other distance runners here, this is a really good event. |

Mike, I'll pass that info along to Sarah. She ran her first 1/2 marathon at the City of Oaks Marathon last month and did the Run at the Rock 7-miler this past weekend. |

Well, today we had to put Chelsea down. It was hard on the heart, but the right decision. 'Lil Fuzz will be missed. |

Carlos, Kristi, Carlee, Bailey & Luke: I am so sorry about Miss Chelsea. She was an incredibly sweet girl. I remember laying next to her and petting her. If I stopped, she'd lick my hand til I started again. A cool chick, that dog. My love and strength to all of you. |

It is going to be our demo bike. I hope to be able to put some break-in miles on it. We will be allowing people to demo ride it by appointment with a lead rider. |

I will let everyone know when you can demo it, but you will have to contact sales to schedule it. Jim, I would love to break it in that way, but chances are it will just be my normal commute with some backroads thrown in. Assuming they put a pigtail on it for me to plug in my heated gear. |

I'm so excited you have one. I'm not quite sure why, It's not like I've never seen one before. But still, it's really cool that it's here. |

Attempted to do the same thing you did, but Jordan was at lunch with the bike. I waited around for 30 minutes or so, but I assume he was out doing the same thing I would be doing if I had an 1125R to ride to lunch. I might try again tomorrow. |

What did you all do for lunch? A colleague and I waited over half of our lunch break at Applebees for our meals to arrive. But the upside (maybe?) was having the AARP Comedy Troupe within earshot to entertain us. And I thought it was only us 'younger people' who had foul mouths. I received the pic below in an E-mail in the past couple of days (should be obvious where it came from...):
Anyone remember seeing the Higbee jacket in Aerosmith's Pink video? 1313 |

Someone tell me about the Honda CX 650? |

You talking about the old transverse mounted v-twin, water cooled bike derived from the CX500? Bullet proof engine, but certainly no speed machine. They have a following and forums on the web. A guy in Raleigh has bee trying to sell a 500 or 650 kinda cool chop for a while. They had a turbo version as well. Asian Moto-Guzzi. Parts can be hard to get as Honda tends to discontinue parts for older bikes. (Message edited by rubberdown on December 07, 2007) |

Yep, thats the one. I didn't realize anyone other than Guzzi had ever made a transverse mounted engine until I saw it mentioned this morning. |

Odd coincidence. When I was at Ray Price yesterday waiting to see the 1125R there was another guy doing the same thing. He was telling me about the other bikes he owns, one of which is a CX650 turbo. |

Honda cx650 Turbo---what a machine!!! Honda's venture into the V-twin watercooled with a tranversly mounted motor(Think MOTO-GUZZI). My father had the non turbo model. Talk about an industructable motor!!! That thing had torque out the wazzuuuu! Never leaked/burned oil. The only dis advantages that I remember were the driveshaft. Those days the driveshafts had a tendency to 'raise' the rear of the bike. Not bad once you got use to it. But couple that with the problems of Turbo-lag and uncontrollable surges of boost, while anchored in on a corner......youd be best to have your leathers on. All in all I'd buy one. It is like any other bike, once you get use to its' characteristics, you are a threat to anyone! |
