After following this "scientific" thread for a week now and learning about all the engineering prowess at BMC, I have but one question. After seven years of the XBR series, why can't I see the roadway good at night. I'm still waiting for my replacement headlights. I shouldn't have to continue to change them to keep a stock appearance. And that's no lie. |

WOW, that last posting killed this thread for 2 days. No reply from "Anonymous"? That's the silent "F*ck Off" What started me to post on this thread was page# 3 at the bottom of the latest Fuell magazine in small dark letters. "WE CARE ABOUT YOU!" What they left out is, unless you ride a XBR, at night. "F*ck Off" not "WE CARE ABOUT YOU!" has been my perception of BMCs attitude towards XBR owners since first couple of years when the bad light issue "came to light" pardon the pun. An "Anonymous" public posting of "F*ck Off" on an enthusiast board towards any customer is WRONG, but I think it should give BMCs customers a hint of the real corporate feelings about their concerns/safety once you leave the showroom. I would make these statements to anyones face. And that's no lie! |

I live in Phoenix and enjoy riding my Uly almost daily. I have not touched my factory RRS and do not intent to. I am however intrigued by all the reports of the fan not running nearly as much with an after-market RSS. We have had some 40 degree nights here in Phoenix over the last week and my home heat fan has been running almost none stop below 50. Has anyone thought about using the after-market RSS to lower energy home heating cost? The way I see it is if the RSS will shorten the fan run time on the XB’s, it should do the same for a home heat pump fan as well? Anyone with ideas would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps Abe could help with this one? |

Don't forget to seal that RSS to the heat pump with teflon tape ! |

I find the RSS works a lot better when it's not all clogged with fried okra, too. |
