Well it looks like work will be moving me to the UK for a year or so to work on a project and I'd like to bring my Buell with me. Anybody have any experience bringing a bike into the UK? Should I bother or just pick something up over here?

Your best bet would be to pick one up over here unless you are US Forces and can get away with riding around on US plates ;).

Used prices are quite low here, and importing a bike has become a complete nightmare, especially from outside Europe. It can be done, but is a complete pain, and can cost more time and trouble than the bike is worth to get it through the various SVA tests etc.

Part it out, put it in 100 boxes, ship it over, assemble and title as a kit bike? : )

As much as I like Froggy's idea.....it looks like I'll be bike shopping in the UK :-)
