T9R thanks for the message! I still have to investigate a little I was busy this weekend I taught a ERC on Saturday and watched a guy on a 750 GXR go down like he was on ice I had them ride around the range to warm up tires for the quick stop exercise. Cold wet pavement and his tire was a little worn down. Thinking now if it would be safe to still do the Bone yard battle from 10 to 4 this coming Saturday. What are some of your thoughts? I got my XB back from the HD store for the 10,000 mile service, joined the MVP plan and saved 160.00 Julius was the Buell tech that worked on my bike and Frank, service writer made sure everything was okay. I rode the XB all day yesterday and its riding like a champ! Kudos to route 40! K |

I hope they have plenty of clutch/brake levers and shift pegs in stock. I've been skipping and sliding all over the place now that the roads are cold |

On the MotoGP - Robin and I put in for tickets as soon as they announced the race.. We're going to be sitting in 'Penthouse E' at the end of the straight looking over turns 1,2,3 and 4. We're flying out (as far as I know) and renting a car for the weekend. If anyone else gets tickets (kind of an odd process) shout out and we'll try and meet up there! |

Due to the hazurdous weather Myself and Old Glory decided to postpone the Bone Yard Battle until next spring. Personally I really don't like the temp drop and was really concerned with the cold tire cold pavement combination. Old Glory REALLY wanted to have the event. I intiated this for next year. I have to tell you guys they really want to support you. We want warm pavement and AMPed up riders for next year to rip up the parking lot. This will happen since getting into this type of sport they are the only Harley dealer to really pursue this, FINALLY after 4 years of one sponsorship after another. I know blah blah blah yada yada. Stay tuned for this spring! Please call OGHD if anyone disagrees with this and ask for Steve he is willing to talk to you! K |

Yes, I rode Weds. I took off work at noon specifically to ride. I saw a few other bikes out and about. Thanksgiving day was even warmer but didn't get the chance to take a spin. Winter sucks but it does force me to take care of all those inside projects I put off over the summer. Besides, there is the Cycle World IMS to look forward to in January. |

IMS.. Looking forward to it.. More importantly, I hope to be making a trip up to Frederick Buell soon.. If not to ride the new beast home.. at least to visit and drool over it for a little while.. As soon as RatBuell drops me a call.. I'm so there.. I'm really missing summer already as well.. But at least I'm not having a dull time, between work and everything else I'm trying to get done.. well.. it should be busy until I can ride again.. |

Well Blu...don't rush. We still don't have any VIN numbers on H-Dnet. Four bikes "released to plant", which means they're *somewhere* on the line...supposedly. But no completed bikes yet. Don't worry...I'll call. Right after I put your break-in miles on for ya. Least I can do, LOL! |

I was able to get out for a bit on my bike on Thanksgiving day. It was soooo nice out! Saturday I went to the Frederick dealer to ask about their 1125R that they were suppose to have in by now as their demo bike. I was told that the ship date kept being bumped and now it the 29th of Nov. Cant wait! Kathy, hows your new bike!!!??? Did you pick it up on Friday?? |

Cindi, I love it, need to get the seat chopped down so I can put more foot on the pavement, but rode it to and from class this weekend. For everybody else I bought a Ulysses you all can call me twinkle toes now! I do have multiple bike syndrome I didn't add the race kit this time, first Buell I ever bought without one, and one day I know I'm going to tip over so I'm looking to get the lower stock seat slimmed down a little so I can at least get the balls of my feet on the ground, ya I know I'm crazy, I have wanted a Ulysses ever since they came out and when I'm riding it I have a HUGE GRIN on my face. Awesome! Im glad you like it! I can hardly put my feet on the ground on those. I dont know how you do it? I'll have to swing by and see it!! I want to get the race kit on my XB I think. It sounds cool but its so loud and with all the traveling I do I think it would just blow out my ear drums even with plugs in. They ring now as it is, stock. Im still in the "thinking about it phase..." |

Cindi, So far my confidence is high riding it. The hardest time for me is getting the side stand up and down because I'm so used to stopping with the left foot on the ground putting my right foot down to me is not natural. Everything else is okay Once I get the Uly customized to where I want it I'm gonna be riding all over the place! I'm looking at 2 long trips next year. K |

when are the July dates? Right now I have 2 weeks for Memphis Tn, and the Dragon plus a possible trip to Daytona for Biketoberfest. I am starting to put together my teaching schedule for next year and I'm trying to get as many fun things in before I get sealed in to teach. |

I have the dates written down for the Buell event as being July 2-6, 2008. Its 17 hours by car one way (according to mapquest). Add more hours for the bikes. At least 2 days out there. I wasnt planning on staying in Troy for all the events as I want to go west and visit with some folks around the Twin Cities, go to the Mall of America and then head south to Austin to see the museum. Then head back this way. Looking at the very least one week plus..... |

Hi Ray, I got an 07 for 97 I know another Ulysses rider who just purchased an 07 for 95. I bought the full tour pack and larger windscreen. I would have waited another year for an 08, but this time next year I'll get the heated grips. 6th gear really didn't matter to me. I got the hand guard extensions from Touratech they have some other neat items for the Uly as well. I heard on the news last night Harley-Davidson HQ is shutting down for a week and giving all of the workers a week off without pay. I never thought I would hear that happen. K |

I got my first speeding ticket in a super long time (20 yrs)last Sunday. I thought about fighting it, but the cop gave me a huge break. A lawyer even told me to suck it up and pay the fine. Before you know it I'll be joining Mio and Pete as a regular at the track. I know, I know, I expect to get a lot of crap from Ray on this one.... Won't see me commuting to work anymore either as I'll be starting @ NASA HQ on Monday. I just can't imagine that commute to be fun from Frederick not matter what I'm riding. |

Damn Ramon! Does this mean we get to call you our 'rocket scientist'? or, if like me, you're just one of the many cogs in the great wheel that makes things happen.. sort of.. sometimes.. maybe.. As for you coming out to the track, you know you're welcome to join me anytime. As for Mio.. well.. he sold his Ducati (track bike)and now has no motorcycles then he went and switched over to four wheels for track use (a Miata I think).. at least for now.. I can see it bugging him and half way through next season he'll be itching to 'borrow' a bike until he can get another.. Hmmm.. Not much else to report.. Robin is on the way to the Doctor this morning (I'm at home right now) and hopefully will get good news about her ankle. I'll let ya know how it goes. |
