Graduate the Milwaukee Police Academy tomorrow. Feels great to final get it done. Took 7 years. Very scary as well. Hope to be a good cop, hope that those of you on the board who seem to really dislike police can forgive me. Thanks to you on the board who were there for me during my hardships the last year and a half, you should know who you are. Had to move from my house so as to make the residence requirement, leaving me with no internet, but will try to get pics up so, (if anyone is interested, [or not]). Hope that this will also be my ticket to get back onto two wheels. Take care, be safe.

One of my best friends is a 10 year vet in the 5th. Loves it even though he's in the "impact zone". Where are you headed? Congrats. |

When you get to 5, ask for John Klien, he's a 3rd shifter and may become an FTO. |

Way to go, Doughnut, I'm hoping to get on with the local PD after the first of the year, then it's off to the academy. |

Hey Joe, that's great news too. I think you'll make a great enforcer of law, order, and the American Way. |

Congrats on an honorable position in life. Be safe and remember what it was like to ride, wind in your face, excellent hp to weight ratio, fun factor of bikes in general. Try to give a break or two to those "Buelligans" we know not what we do at speed. Kinda get caught up in it all, ya know? |

Jon, Congratulations! I know how much you have gone through in the last couple of years, I sincerely hope the road ahead smooths out a bit for you. Also, I feel honored that you asked me to attend your special day. I'm real sorry I was unable to attend. Sometimes the work thing really hoses up the things you really want to do. Regarding the pictures, HELL YES we want to see them. I want to see your smiley face in your blues so I recognize you when I get pulled over.... So, does this mean that Buell guys (and gals) in the Milwaukee area that may be um "slightly" out of line will get a get out of jail card free? Jon, I'm really happy for you with this new chapter in your life. Go get um buddy! Brad (and the now winterized red and white beast..) |

Just remember there is right and wrong ways to do the job and always try and do it the right way. My dad and brother were great cops because they treated everyone fair and didn't succumb to pressure from fellow officers or the public. You'll do great. |

Jonathan, I am offering you my philosophy of dealing with people as a cop. "Treat everyone as you would want another cop to treat your brother." I worked 3 years investigating rape and child abuse and 23 years investigating homicide, so it wasn't always easy to do. But in the end you will be proud of your actions and will end up with better results. Jack |
