You lucky guys in the US. Here in Germany I even had not the chance to see it in real. So I am not asking about delivery dates now. First my dealer told me the presentation is September 22nd than beginning November after that 8th of December and now end of February. I will wait and hope good things come soon. |

"I can hear Axl Rose singing now...." Buell's version of "PATIENCE" (sung to the tune of G n R's "patience") Shed a tear 'cause we're losing sales I'm still trying to smile I think about it every day now Was a time when I wasn't sure about this water-cooled bike There is no doubt it's on the line now Said Erik take it slow It'll work itself out fine All we need is just a little patience Said Erik make it slow And we'll come together fine All we need is just a little patience (inhale) Patience... Ooh, oh, yeah Sit here pullin out my hair 'Cause It's still not 100% done If I can't fix it right now, I'll wait dear Sometimes, I get so tense But I can't speed up the time But you know, Erik, there's one more thing to consider They said it's still too slow the vibrations will be just fine the public just needs a little patience Said Erik take the time 'Cause the lights are shining bright (unlike the firebolts) You and I've got what it takes to make it We better not fake it, Oh I hope they never break it 'Cause I can't take it ...little patience, mm yeah, ooh yeah, Need a little patience, yeah Just a little patience, yeah Some more pati... (ence, yeah) I've been working on this bike at night Just trying to get it right (Need some patience, yeah) It's hard to see with so many tools around You know I don't need customers to be broke down (Could use some patience, yeah) And the buyers are waiting, it's all the same I ain't got time for this game 'Cause I need to (Patience, yeah) finish this bike, yeah I need to Oh, I need to (Take some patience) Whoa, I need to (Just a little patience is all we need) Ooh, this ti- me.... |

On the subject of riding. Try Inside Pass. It is said to be making a return for 2008. |

Buell's version of "PATIENCE" (sung to the tune of G n R's "patience") Man, that's great. This tune definitely needs to be covered on the next Erik Buell & the Thunderbolts CD! |

Deposit Hell! I've got a confirmed VERBAL from my dealer.. My bike is spoken for.. when it gets here.. it's mine! Patience, lucky for me, I used to hunt.. and not in the woods.. so I know a thing or five about being patient.. I'm just sitting, in the shadows.. and upon the right signal from my buddy Joe.. I'll strike.. Like a .. Uh.. 'Helicon'? Speaking of which.. I wonder when he'll be able to give me a VIN on my bike.. so I can get the insurance thing taken care of? Damn.. I can't wait.. But I will.. 'Cause I know how.. and because Erik & the Elves have promised me something as perfect as they can get it for the holidays.. Sitting in the shadows.. waiting on Joe.. |

I wonder when he'll be able to give me a VIN on my bike.. so I can get the insurance thing taken care of? Man, I hope that's not a problem considering how long it took some of the companies to figure out what a "Buell" was in the first place. |

Not Kidding.. VERBAL. I am a known commodity (so to speak) they handle all four of our current bikes (two Buells two H-D's).. and I shot some of the promotional images for their race team.. So, after a small hic up (Joe got goofy on me for a minute) and I said, I was takin' it home.. well.. MY dealer said 'Ok, we'll call ya when it's time to pay up and ride out.' .. Gotta love a good dealer and a good relationship. (this is, after all, the same place that handed me the keys to a V-Rod while my XB9R was in the shop for a blown speedo sensor and said be back by 5pm.. These are good folks.. nuff said) |

Yo Tank.. Yeah, the speed of dirt, and rock and roll and everything else.. Ever see it when a mountain sneaks up on someone and then all of a sudden, 200K Tons of rock and dirt are on top of them.. So, uh.. yeah.. you know I'm patient.. but when it's time to strike.. heheheheh.. |

Ok - so I am bragging. My new baby is due to arrive on Thursday. Signed all the paperwork today. I went ahead and got the 5 year extended warranty. And to rub it in a little more, the motorcycle show at the Seahawks Convention Center is this weekend. I went - did my share of shopping, and of COURSE spent a fair bit of time sitting on the 1125R. Buell sent a couple of factory people to the show. I met Dean - who WAS working on the dirt bike but the project did indeed get canceled (per Dean). I have to say - it totally rocks that Buell sends factory guys to these events. I (like many of you) have owned other brands and other bikes. None of them (not even my Harley) make me as proud as the Buell. The factory people CARE! And for me - that matters a ton. The Buell management OBVIOUSLY understand the value of getting their engineers out to meet us - and that is impressive to me. As for "visual clues" of anything that has changed since the pre-production Inside Pass bikes - I sure couldn't see it. Of course, I fell in love with her all over again. Oh - and one thing very cool about the International Motorcycle Show - you get to sit on all of the bikes. Even though I already had completed my buy of my 1125R, I did sit on the Ducatti's, Aprilla's, GSXR, and Kawasaki's. I was a little nervous about doing that - but glad I did. My 1125R just "fit". |

Did you try that new Kawi 10R? Was that thing off the hook uncomfortable or what? Talk about a race bike in street bikes clothing. Surprising, the Gixxer 1000 is pretty reasonable. It's not 1125r comfortable, but way better than some of it's competitors. I did the same thing you did at the IMS in San Mateo. It was the first time I saw the 1125r in the flesh. I came out of that show WAY more excited after comparing other bikes. |

High speed dirt... Gotta love the references.? I hate to think that any of the new bikes will meet the fate of a new rider on "ego". p.s. I was "gentle" with my demo, but she left some marks on me. (Message edited by Tank_Bueller on December 02, 2007) |

Fresno - you are right! The Kawi 10R would make me a regular at the chiropractor! It wasn't even race bike comfortable - it was just plain weird ergonomics. The closest to the 1125R was the GSXR1000. I sat on it 4 times - it was only about a half a bubble off plumb to be right (in other words, really close). In the words of Goldilocks, the 1125R was "just right". |

I just figured 10r race bike cause they added the traction control and full throttle upshifting (or was that the new Honda?) HIGH seat, low grips. My wrists were aching just sitting on the thing. We spent alot of time at the Buell booth (for me) and the Suzuki booth (my 'Busa buddy will probably be buying a GSXR1000). You are right--the Gixxer 1000 is very close to the 1125r. I was really surprised to be honest. If I was in that IL4, liter bike market, there is little question that Suzuki has the best bike out there with reasonably good ergos to boot! |

Bigdog_tim, Did you notice that the 1125r on the floor was serial number xxxxx00000002?? I'm sure it was a validation bike, not number 2 from the production line, but I still thought that was pretty cool. I sat on number 2! |

Pretty sure one of the Anonys said they started the production numbering with xxxx00100. Mine is xxxxx00304 and is supposedly on the way, We'll see. Z |
