I guess you guys are right. Sometimes it is just hard to keep my head up after things like that happen. But as you say Cyclonedon, I guess there are worse things going on in the world. Let us all keep Sean Taylor\\'s family in our prayers. What a tragic loss that was. He was only 24 years old. Thank you all for your uplifting advice. I\\'m gonna start piecing this thing back together. |

The chances of your bad luck can't continue. Do you like riding the bike when your not crashing or falling over? If you do keep the bike and ride it and enjoy it. Shake off that perception and start a new attitude with the good points they are a blast the ride and very dependable. |

Do you intend on riding in the future? If so keep the bike. Looks like you're gonna take a financial hit on it anyways and when the sun comes out in Spring and business has turned, you'll be kicking yourself for having sold it. Especially if your still paying off the loan and unable to buy another one. If necessary, de-register it(return the plates) and un-insure it (like a track bike) stick it in the garage and save for the parts over time (ebay etc.) I dont know about The States but winter is a bad time for selling bikes. At least wait untill Spring when the biker mating season begins. I sympathize, yet Ive been there done that. I was hit by a car on my (borrowed money) 1 week old ZXR250 when i didnt have a licience and was forced to pay for the car (and eventual rebuild of my bike).Last week after enjoying a great touring weekend meeting some new friends (and sharing our crash stories around the campfire) my friend hit a 4 point stag dead center at 140kmh on the way home on his 2006 ZXR 636, totaling the bike and giving him a few injuries along the way. He now has a 2 and a half year loan to pay and no bike. anyways best of luck and either way, I hope it makes a good campfire story for you some day. Paul |

JS, Your loan probably requires the insurance, but your insurance co. may let you suspend part of your coverage (especially in winter) and save a few bucks for parts money. My previous company would let me suspend it, and my new one (the old one doesn't love me any more) offers some kind of deal for winter months. As long as it's broke any way, you won't be very dangerous not riding it. Unless..... well, if it fell on somebody in the driveway, or something like that...... Rotzaruck!!!!! |
