I posted in the KV but there is not much action. I am getting a drummer and am just asking what ECM is best to use on the XB12R. I have heard the actual Buell Race ECM. They have the best r&d id imagine. Let me know what you all have experienced. THanks |

I'd go with the race ECM. |

I have heard that unless you're going to do your own ECM mapping, the race ECM is a better match for the original Drummer can. Kevin Drum would probably say just run the stock ECM and it will be fine. I think my XB12 would run better with different mapping or a race ECM. So, the question I ask myself is... Do I spend $200 on a race ECM or $550 on mapping software and key? You tell me... |

ECMspy software is free, and works with your stock ECM. (Message edited by barker on November 26, 2007) |

Ok, heres one for y'all...My moded muffler has the valve still in it and operational, although not required for its "performance", if I put in a race ECM, will anything weird happen? Or will it just no longer actuate the cable meaning I can remove it and its associated hardware. |
