Well my brother torn his motor up again and I am building the motor up for a drag bike. I want to build a bad ass motor for it. Besides the thunderstorm heads I thought I remember installing XB heads. Can you guys give me some advice on this since I am a XB guy and havent did a whole lot of research on this

I'm by no means an expert on this but I have read here that XB heads with XB9 pistons give the old motors(yours and mine) some serious hormones. I cant find the thread but mebey one of the guys who "know" will chime in here.....

Lucas, the XB heads are better stock than reworked T-storm heads(actually need late XL heads as the XB's have no holes for carb brackets, but they are the same)and that S-1 had Lightning heads stock, they came before T-storm heads. You could give Richard Nallin a call as not only is he a sponsor here but he campaigned an S-1 in drag racing for long enough to be world champ on one,he even got to race it in Aus IIRC.And he is a Louisiana boy.

I am in the process of setting up an S-1 for drag racing myself.

Best bang for your buck is a 1250 kit,and the XB heads require different pistons anyway. XB rocker covers do away with the 2 piece earlier designs so one less gasket and they have the breathers in the top of the covers so you can do away with the ones by the carb. Way better for splooge control.
