£8500 buys you the bike and entry to the series. Full KTM support at all rounds. Blow ups, repairs etc, all taken care of by KTM. Race entry fee and tyres not included. That's it. Looks like fantastic fun is on its way to us Brit's. Rocket |

If I were Buell UK I'd be all over fielding a counterveiling contingent of Buells . . . . how cool would that be to basically have a mono y mono manufacturers series and watch them go at it all season like Honda and Harley-Davidson used to in the Grand National Mile! Kudos to the KTM folks . . .it'll be great exposure. |

SHITE! Born in the wrong country again... It's just not fair that we don't get cool stuff like this and have to put up with Bush Jr. too! |

Great idea. Still an ugly bike IMO. I don't ever expect to see that here. My opinion is....Too many lawyers here and this Country is so damn greedy that some @sshole would get hurt and go after the manufacturer. No one is willing to take that risk. Wavers are only worth the paper they are written on too. |

2008 will be the second year of the KTM Superduke battle, and the series was a massive hit here this year. Rounds are held as support races for British Superbikes and at the British round of the MotoGP series, so gets a huge audience compared to most one make club series. This is just one of the reasons that KTM is perceived as being one of the most race oriented manufacturers, and is burgoening their reputation all the time. When people see KTM's motto 'Race Ready' they believe it, and it is a salutory lesson to Buell Europe/UK's poor marketing effort over the last few years that KTM did not even have a road bike in their range when the XB was launched, yet are seen as the more serious spotsbike manufacturer over here. There is no reason that I can think of why Buell could not mount a rival series to the KTM Superduke battle. The only thing holding them back is themselves. |
