Its winter, its wet and I am trip planning. Looking for out of the way Cafes, Lodges, snack shacks that are off the beaten path, Chime in with your favorite. Must Ride at least one dirt road to get there, bonus points for creek crossings Naughty Pine Saloon Trout Creek Montana, via East Eagle road ID into NF2258 to White Beaver Mt, then hard pack into town. Full day just for a late breakfast |

The Historic Brooklyn Tavern in Brooklyn WA. Coming from Centralia requires twistie roads and about 10 miles of gravel. The parking lot is not gravel....it is layered with thounsands of bottle caps. It is an old logging camp with tons of character, history, and logging antiques http://www.historicbrooklyntavern.com/ (Message edited by debueller on November 14, 2007) (Message edited by debueller on November 14, 2007) |

Num-ti-jah Lodge, IceFields Parkway, Canadian Rockies. Not really any gravel, just a short burst from the highway, but hey it's in the middle of glaciers and the rockies...6 hour ride from home so makes a nice stop over. http://www.num-ti-jah.com/ and I guess you could cross this creek on the way into the parking lot if you really wanted to!
