I'd get a VIN number. If it's been built, a VIN exists and the dealer should be more than happy to provide it for you. |

There are bikes built and waiting, but not as many as we had expected, and so they are on hold so that they won't dribble in super slowly, making a few happy and most frustrated. The delays are due to parts supply from a couple of suppliers. Some of this is due to the final tweaks to get the bikes really right which caused some delays in getting suppliers up to speed. Please forgive us, we may have gone a little overboard in doing so many little refinements and then testing them before release, but the 1125's are going to be really, really good. That was our commitment, and it will be worth it. And because they are so refined, there will be very little if anything we will change for '09. |

This is all good... The shipped bikes, although fewer in numbers than expected by this timeframe, are the product of... "a little overboard in doing so many little refinements and then testing them before release, but the 1125's are going to be really, really good. ...And because they are so refined, there will be very little if anything we will change for '09." PERFECT, I CAN'T WAIT! It sounds like my dealer is one of the lucky ones which means I am (apparently) one of the lucky ones. The vin was on the printout but I did not ask for it. I'll get it tomorrow...for insurance policy purposes of course. |

It's a fact that perfection cannot be rushed! I now am expecting nothing less than just that. Thanks Anony! What a treat to actually be a part of this, if only a pre-customer on a FANTASTIC forum! There is nothing I can think of that will curb my excitement. I don't mind waiting. Johnny J. |

Thanks Anony - that's what I was hoping. "There are bikes built and waiting, but not as many as we had expected" That sounds like a small delay, but a parts issue shouldn't rock us back two months. I'll keep hoping/waiting and try to keep from joining Asbjorn in the local gendarme's care. Z |

What a treat to actually be a part of this I agree 100%. All my Jap bike buddies are pretty amazed at the development of the 1125r, especially the interaction between Buell, moto-journalists & the general public. They ask me all the time the latest news on the 1125r and usually I start the conversation with "Well, the Anony on the forum said...." Hopefully Buell won't lose touch when it inevitably gets bigger in the future. |

Hey No_rice - sorry I wasn't attacking YOUR credibility, but it sounded like it. Sounds more like a glitch in HD Net. If they have bikes built and waiting, they aren't doing anything that would push shipments out 2-3 months. cross your fingers Z |

Buell has the 1125R, Harley has the Rocker and Rocker Custom... between the two of them, they are generating ALOT of buzz in the showroom. I hope it holds out until the bikes finally appear. The belt still isn't right.More revisions. It was a joke It was a joke It was a joke It was a joke. But,with all of the refinements(and my improving financial situation) i may even finance one and pleasure riding it next summer.Keep up the effort BMC |

Funny dialog fer sure. I know most of us are going into winter hibernation mode and can not use the 1125r for awhile, but static displays are nice too.I hope BMC sorts out their problems soon. |

I rode over to my dealer today to pick up a Uly part, eyeball the eye candy and chat with the staff. Gave the salesman a call first and said to check out the delivery status of their 1125s. When I got there one of the sales staff makes the comment that I'm their only customer that calls to tell THEM when my bike is coming or such. Good people and good natured. Badweb, Buell and the Anonys all do rock! Same kind of story out here in Cali too, the two 1125s due here for November are now "no longer valid numbers" but no change on the December bikes. Yet!. Those were the bikes Mike and I had downs on. So Buell's not picking on anybody in particular guys. Btw my dealer has been getting delay notices on the Rocker every month for three or four months now so we're not the only ones waiting. (Not that I'd want one of those!). Well I'll still get #1 and Mike will get #2 and I'm glad Buell is committed to doing the bike right. |

Hey guys - based on the feedback we were getting from the Buell staff at Inside Pass - they were ACTIVELY taking notes all season on a gazillion details that their own test riders didn't find early in the game. This is gonna be a seriously developed product when it's rolling out the door! (and I'm seriously jealous!) |

Oh no Asbjorn, the R models are my favorite! BUT like many others I wouldn't mind an 1125ST of some kind parked in the garage next to it. Oh yes, and the money to afford them both too! |

I know it's a pipe dream given the recent update of the Ulysses, but I'll mortgage my house for an 1125 Ulysses. God, that would be a bike that would be simply awesome. Nothing in the world like it unless Ducati wedged the 1098 mill into Multistrada. (Message edited by chadhargis on November 11, 2007) |

I'm trying hard here guys to understand why someone would want "superbike" like characteristics in a touring bike or even a sport touring bike. My last sport touring bike was a nice BMW and had plenty of H.P. and handling but was built for the long haul mostly on the interstates. Sport bikes on the other hand are made, I believe, for the ultimate "sport". I really think the new 1125R fulfills this niche nicely. I think an 1125T or ST would be nice but do you really "need" that much H.P, handling, and luggage, etc. in one? If you can only afford one or the other maybe its time to choose carefully and stay away from a decidedly true "sportbike". Your opinions appreciated naturally. Bob |

I mostly agree with you Bob. The 1125R will replace my XB12R. Actually I don't see the 1125 motor fitting in any of Buell's other current models. I see a market for a more upright version of the 1125R but not what "I" would think of as a replacement for any of the rest of Buell's current line-up. On the other hand, as much as I like my Uly it doesn't hit the spot like my S3T did. Seems to me if any near future offer by Buell is likely to carry on for the S3T I think it'll be the future "upright" version of the 1125 sense they don't appear to be interested in taking the SS in that direction. Hence my comments. |

I visited the dealer today to talk about the wife's XB12scg issues... I asked about the 1125r that has my name (and money) on it... They expect two delivered to the dealer by the end of this week (Fri) or by Tuesday next week. However, the H-D/Buell computer showed some irregularities. If they are not delivered by NEXT Tuesday the dealer will be calling to inquire... |
