Pundits be damned . . . the 1125r threatens to redefine Buell in so many ways. |

Bike decisions are hard to define though, I ended up buying another bike that I had recently ridden a few times. That said I wouldn't be surprised if I pick up another Buell sometime. |

And I have the money for one... Nice . I'm literally sitting here in my computer chair smiling. Have been for months and will be until I can plonk down a suitcase full of $20's for it . I considered two suitcases full of tens but it'd be hard to get them back home... Maybe I'll make it a Buell slingbag full of tens. Decisions, decisions... Then I'll REALLY be smiling . |

Wow my excitement level just shot back up to an 11 (on a scale of 1-10)!!! I guess I`d better go get a drink and settle back down before I go nuts. |

Those were both great articles! Many great quotes... this is my favorite though: This may sound twisted, but when I’ve really fallen for a bike I start to fantasize about stripping off her fairings and fondling her most secret places. A motorcycle isn’t truly yours until you’ve bled on it, dripped sweat over it, and gotten its essence under your fingernails. There is a certain intimacy that comes from spending quality time alone in a garage with your machine. Usually, I can straddle a motorcycle for a few hours and have my way with her, then slap her on the tail section, say, “Thanks Baby,” and walk away without so much as a backward glance. The 1125R makes me think about commitment and the long haul. I’ve had plenty of flings, but this one’s a keeper. |

Gentlemen (and ladies), I believe the underlying message here is: Despite the unfortunate minor delays in getting this exciting new product to the dealers in the speed and volume we would like, it WILL be worth the wait! |

Glendale's first 1125R is scheduled to ship November 20th I believe. Brace yourselves folks! My only regret is having financial obligations which push my 1125R purchase back a year... not the least of which is "un-destroying" an XB9R racebike. REALLY bad having had a 5-session taste of the pre-production bikes at Willow and now have to wait (dang this financial responsibility anyways!!!!) |

Steve. This is worth raiding your retirement account for. The gray years be damned (waitaminit, I am gray!) Asbjorn |

Asbjorn - I Raided my retirement account to GET OUT of all the debt that I incurred in 5 years of racing - the return to racing is going to be cash-only and I have a WHOLE MOTORCYCLE to replace! I'm just gonna have to be jealous of you guys! I also suggested to Mario that instead of our last-Sunday-of-the-month ride, we do an 1125R arrival celebration at Glendale! Oh and SPIDEY - the REAL reason you are impressed by the article... the Author, Bekah Snyder (Wrecky Slider):

One recommendation I would like to suggest is that Buell install a kickstand engine cut function, as I left the pits not once, but twice with my kickstand down! ... I tipped into Turn 3, my first left hander. ... By the grace of God, the kickstand miraculously corrected itself That automatically retracting kickstand really works. |

Oh gee thanks Steve for that imagery ... My kickstand won't be retracting for a while! And yeah! Lets have a party at Glendale when the bikes come in. How's Ernie coming along getting Angels and Airwaves in? You can ride mine every now and then, just not on the track ( you seem to be finding dirt just a bit too easily ) Cheers Asbjorn |

I hadn't heard back about Angels and Airwaves... I'll hit up Mario about it (it was HE who emailed today about "his" 1125R shipping on the 20th) Yeah... DO NOT EVER let me ride a bike on the track!!!! It gets pricey. Bad enough I wad up my OWN bikes... Yeah, I think we MUST have an 1125R arrival party!!! |
