What a GREAT weekend! Nov. 10th was my birthday (Semper Fi) and Nov. 11th was Veteran's Day & the IMS in Ft. Worth. Had a great time at the Buell section on the floor and spent a little while discussing past/present/future (even though they won't comment) on Buell. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the gentleman's name I was talking with, but he was from the factory & I enjoyed it immensely. I went w/ 3 keys but forgot to show them, so only came away with 1 patch. Now my wife is PI$$ED off @ me, because I didn't get 1 for each bike. Court, can you help a brother out? :-D Had a lot of fun w/ my riding buddy explaining the Trilogy of Tech to him on the new bike (2 cut away bikes there, so bring your camera & tape measure for Al-American Sport Bike, Matt-Trojan, et alia) and his parting words were, "I guess you'll be leading the way on all the rides soon as you get one, huh?" I can OWN him in the corners, but he walks away from me in the straights today (Dallas, TX. area, not a lot of twisties, ya know?) So for me, it didn't matter WHAT they were giving away, even though I want more patches (Court?), it was GOOD to be on that floor & talk Motorcycles & Buell w/ a like minded gentleman! |

So how hard would it be to get hold of one, Court? I too am in the land of the lost. I would second the thought of a show in the mid south (Message edited by loki on November 12, 2007) |

We'll be at the Javitts Center on Friday, Dec 28 for the show with three Buell keys; my '06 Uly, Terri's '08 Ss and our daughter Andrea's '03 Blast. If there's a party, I hope someone will let me know where and when. |

My black key worked for me, but I forgot I had 2 other keys in my pocket, oh WOE is me! And in my best Homer Simpson voice, "D'OH!" My experience with Buell @ the IMS is that once you start talking with them, they "might" ask for proof, but more than likely, you are walking out of there with SWAG. |

While that is a supremely cool patch the numbers don't add up for me to drive or fly to Chicago for one. I do dig the return of the pegasus though. |

Court, Does this mean the Pegasus is back in the game again? I REALLY think it needs to be more visible in Buells marketing. Everyone that sees the logo likes it. It also provides a bit of distance from the stigma of the HD logo. The Buell oval logo is neat but the Pegasus says it all without a single letter.... JMHO Brad |

I'll be going to IMS this weekend in San Mateo. The Pegasus patches are cool. A great trademark, I'm also surprised they don't use it more. Ft_bstrd Maybe it's a Bank Angle Sensor. You'll just break it any ways. |

I agree, the Pegasus is supremely cool. just another thing to love about Buell. Surprised that other moto companies don't promote a symbol....hint hint Buell. |

You'll just break it any ways. The ones you get at IMS are the gold plated, heavy duty ones. |

I'm kind of attached to the Pegasus, as well. Especially in blue. |

I don't think the IMS comes to Daytona anymore. Maybe some extras will surface. |

If it doesn't come through Daytona anymore would it go by Orlando? Where can a dummy like me find dates for this IMS thing....? |

I thought it was really cool that the Pegasus made another appearance. This has not been without somewhat of an uphill battle on the part of one of the dedicated folks at Buell marketing. There were some very terse moments with the entire Mobil Oil thing that left some running for cover. Personally . . . . I adhere to Erik's contention that his ancestors, under the crest of the Pegasus, were embroiled in battle centuries before Mobil ever drilled a hole in the ground . . . I say we go after Mobil. Seriously, it's a very cool momento. Court |

The logo on my PM caliper draws a lot of attention. I have missed the Pegasus logo as well and welcome its return. Now for the really important question..... For those of us who can not make it to an IMS show. Can we get hold of one of these tasty little items? Rich, That blows! I just noticed that there is no Daytona date. |

The pegasus is our version of the chevy "bow tie", the yamaha "tuning forks" or the BMW "prop" or even the coca-cola hour-glass bottle. It could be an invaluable tool for marketing and brand identity if they continue to use it. IMHO the mobile pegasus and the Buell pegasus are both markedly different in design and marketing completely different products. They should run with the pegasus. It is obviously very popular among the current owners |

Anyone who can score me a patch, I'll make it worth their while. If needed, I've even got keys from two different buells I could loan out maybe |

I too would love to have a patch but being that I'm stationed overseas I won't be able to get one at one of the IMS's. |

Cool . . . trust me, you'll be the ONLY person in that part of the world with those two Buell shirts! How cool in the Thunderbolts shirt? How ya like that artwork? See if you can see a subtle Buell message there? |
