What are some of the improvements over the ztl 1? Also will it be one finger braking like a nice set of brembos. Trail braking no problem with the bike wanting to stand up?

By the way great job on the new bike! She ticks all the right boxes. My deposit is already down at the local dealer. I get the 1rst one!!

Jeremy McWilliams says the XBRR has the best system he has ridden other than MotoGP. The 1125 has the same as on the XBRR other than master cylinder. The caliper has more pad area, plus split pads for more even pressure, plus is much more rigid.

Congratulations, you are going to love the bike!

Why a different master cylinder?

It is a sweet system. I thought it as good or better than the dual 320 radial Brembos I am used to. It does require maybe a tad more pressure at the lever than the B's, but not much and seemed to be more progressive. Absolutely no fade either. I use two fingers for braking, not one. Also my review is from two full sessions in the A group at SOW if it matters.

Good to hear that Buell fixed the "Achilleas heel" of the XB

LOL... The brakes are not the weakness of the XB...

It's the oil pump drive gear. You'll be happy to know that they indeed did fix it though...

Despite what one of our illustrious sponsors says... The brakes work just fine with the proper pads and a reasonably fresh bleed. Yes... this is coming from someone who HAS faded the brakes on his XB.

And the ZTL2 is definitely a one-finger system if you like. At Pocono we were topping 115/120 on the straight according to the gearing and I repeatedly hauled it down with just my right middle finger. Progressive, powerful, not grabby at all. I loved it. Matter of fact, the first time we hot-lapped I got a momentary "oh s**t, I'm not gonna stop in time for that left" and grabbed a heavy fist-full. Practically stopped the bike, and the turn was still waaaay out there, LOL.

I have broken the steel oil pump drive gear on my '04 XB12R engine after 8,000km....I have a new engine with the bronze gear, and no problems after 24,000km
+

Every time I ride one of my friends CBR, GSXR, R1, I get dissappointed from the ZTL when I get back to my XB.

It seems Buell fixed both of these issues.
