I have discovered that I can not get very good mileage out of tires. I have discovered that the mileage is even less in North Georgia. I left town with a Pirelli Strada with 1,300 miles. 500 miles and a day of rollin' Suches, and I left Wolf Pen with an 18" section of cords showing. We checked the RAN and called William. He had a tire and mounted it for me. Thank you so much for your help. You saved our trip! Kristi and everyone who participates in and maintains the RAN, thank you so much for your involvement. It is invaluable! New tire is Mmmm, Mmmm, sticky! |

Fats...Glad he hooked you up. I had the pleasure of meeting William at last years March Badness. Real nice guy, and tall?? You might want to try the road attacks, at least once. Glad the RAN worked out. I think it's time I listed myself. Later... (Message edited by twig on November 11, 2007) |

FB - glad it all worked out. Sorry I got the e-mail so late. Between soccer and children I've been on the go all day. You have mail! |

FTB - 1800 miles out of a Strada? You must torture them until they scream for forgiveness in German. I had cords showing when I replaced my last Strada with 5200 miles. Mountain Rider way to go. |

I need riding lessons, I guess. I have to be doing something wrong. They also pave the roads here in razor blades. |

Wow! Had a tire on hand, and could mount it? Holy smokes, full stocking members of the RAN. He realizes that he has better performance thyen 10% of Buell dealers, right? Wonder how many of them stock and could mount a tire on short notice on a Saturday. Had you come to my house, I would not have been able to set you up with a tire, and would have sent you off on a 1985 KLR-250. Woulda changed the nature of your trip Didn't know I have to stock parts... I do keep the Oxy Act filled up though, and have a stock of "aluma-weld" on hand... You da man, Mountian Man! Thanks for nurturing the list, Kristy! |

Holy smokes, full stocking members of the RAN. Yeah! If you ever in need of a tire from I-95 to the NC coast, we can do the same thing. We have been caught more than once in need of a tire to have the suppliers back order the tires. No fun trying to find a tire that works just before a trip. Even worse being on the road and being in the same situation. Nuf - Whose wife? I get the feeling strange men keep calling her. |

I was glad I could help. I love working on bikes and talking to other riders just as much as I like riding. We are always doing something fun in the bat cave. |

I couldn't tell if it was a pit crew or a chop shop. It is quite the operation! |
