Matt Smith beat Chip Ellis to win the NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle Championship! This de-thrones the HD after 3 years of trying. Of the top 4 in points, 3 were Buells and 1 Harley: Matt Smith-champ, Matt Hines-runner up, Chip Ellis-3rd, Peggy Llewellyn 4th. |

I just watched this. It looks like the only thing Buell about those bikes is the XBR fairing. At least Chip Ellis' bike says "Buell" on it. |

These bikes are as far from a stock bike as the cookie-cutter NASCAR cars are from what your neighbor may drive. That being said, cool to see a "Buell" take the title and not a Suzuki. Kawasaki will be back in '08... Great race coverage today - |

It's just nice to hear a big honkin' V-twin going down the track!! |

One characteristic I love about the V-Twin dragsters is the way they "launch" on each gear as the motor pulls the bike through those long gears. The I4s look fairly linear as they run through the strip... |

Andrew Hines rolled out of the lights and red lighted......ouch . I was delighted to see Matt Smith a Buell rider take top honors . Dont care if they are one of a kind dragsters............ |
