Tragically, a young man (23) was killed a few days ago at an intersection accident with an auto. The investigation of that accident is still on-going with a report expected in a few days. Yesterday at the funeral of the young man some rider friends decided to do a spontaneous "stunt show" on their bikes at the funeral home. The result was one dead and another medivac'd to the hospital and expected to live. This happened near Limerick, PA not far from my home. I don't know any of the dead or injured but it is certainly tragic to lose 2 lives in less than a week. The story is that one rider was doing a wheelie (or maybe burnout) ending with a U turn and was hit by the other rider. The impact torn the bikes to pieces. I expect there will be a little greater police presence at the next funeral. The Pottstown Mercury newspaper has a write-up but there web page is not updated yet. No a good idea I'd say. Sorry another had to pay with their life. |

That was sad, almost too sad for words. People do stupid things when their judgment is clouded by strong emotions like grief. (Message edited by diablobrian on November 04, 2007) |

Yes, this is sad....sad for US. Call me callous, but all I think of when I hear something like this is how the 'biker persona' is going to be engraved in all non-riders' heads. Definitely not helping our image. Ugh. |

It reads just like one of those gangster funerals where a gunfight breaks out. |

It's never a good thing when a fellow motorcyclist stuffs it, but this is pretty funny somehow. Poetic justice? Not popular, but it what I am thinking. |

Some people just aren't meant to ride. I include myself, too, sometimes when I'm doing dumb shit. But I ride a Buell, so as not to do that wheelie shit. If I go down in a turn, it's my own fault. |

Hate to sound hard-assed but I have to also state that we hear all too often of bikers doing stupid sh*t like this. It will get worse and worse for all of us unless we attempt to stop this crap... ... or else let's just glory in the deaths of idiots while we are still allowed to even ride a bike with more than 25 HP. We're bringing this down on our own heads. |

I'm sorry but a stunt show at a funeral. Talk about wrong place, wrong time. |

A neighbor's son OD'd after fighting a losing battle with drugs. At the service, some of his "friends" were high and others were selling drugs out in the parking lot. Just a great way to show respect to his family. |

don't have "relations" with your gf in the funeral home director's office when you think he's busy with your aunt's funeral. |

"don't have "relations" with your gf in the funeral home director's office when you think he's busy with your aunt's funeral." Speaking from experience, are you? A stunt show at a frikkin' funeral? Yeah, that's a really classy bunch, there. Definitely hanging out with the wrong crowd. ~SM |
