Thought I'd say "hey". Still haven't turned my computer on yet (using wife's laptop), bike is still up on jacks... 10 months out of the loop so I've got a bunch of stuff to do around here before I can get busy online. Gonna ride Mcgiver's scoot tomorrow morning cuz mine's got no tags. First ride of 2007 for me... good lord.

Don't worry, I'll be up on time. Clocks go back an hour tonight, and I've got two more episodes of South Park on the DVR to get through. Where was I? Let's just say I was "deployed" to a combat zone. Adjusting to normal life again is kind of weird... a little Buell therapy is all I need. XBR + S3T = Follow up appointment in my backyard to fill the prescription for BBQ. |

I am hearing you Pwnzor. Former Oz soldier. Too real to be real was my usual assessment. Welcome back to the world. |

Well its nice to see your getting to ride again. I have 40 days left here in Korea then I will be on the hunt to buy another Buell and ride again (hopefully it wont take me too long to find what I am looking for). |

Pwnzor was your home affected by the fires in the O.C? |

Glad to hear you are back safe and sound. My brother-in-law is leaving just before Thanksgiving. |

Fires were about 10 miles away, so my house is just fine. The area I lived in about 3 years ago was evacuated for a short time. My sons both work at the recreation center in that housing development and it was being used as a staging area for firemen to rest and eat between shifts. My Sunday morning ride was great. Thanks again to Mcgiver for letting me ride his XB12R since mine wasn't ready to go yet. When I think back, I originally didn't want to buy this house, but the second time I cam e to look at it, I saw the tail end of a blue XBR sticking out of his garage and I stopped the car, went right up to him and said, "Hi, I'm Matt, your new neighbor." I fully realize now that it's one of the best decisions I ever made. What a generous guy, I don't know many people that would have let someone ride their bike like that after being out of it for 10 months. It's damn good to be home. |
