Im pulling my deposit for my bike at mcguire hd buell in wc. My grandfather recently came down with lung cancer and we all thought it was going to be easy to take care of stage 1b they said. they opened him up to cut out the tumor and it had grown to stage 4 and had taken over the whole left lobe of his lung. they estimate 2 months without treatment but that would only buy him a year or so. His name is Doctor Thomas Woodward Hutson Jr. please keep him in your prayers. i am going to be flying out after thanksgiving for 2 weeks to help them out. I need the extra money ive been setting aside for a while now for something more important. two weeks out of work with no pay when you gotta pay rent gas insurance cc phone internet etc etc doesnt help. I guess it will just have to wait...

Wow man, that's terrible! I'm really sorry to hear of your grandpa's condition. I know how much you wanted that bike too.

Thoughts and prayers - for your pops and the family.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather. There will be plenty of 1125Rs. You only have one grandfather. Take care of him, and the rest will work itself out.

The only things we really get to keep are the relationships we have with others. We'll pray that his treatments go well.

Keep the faith Paintballtommy .. both regarding the 1125R and your grandfather. My 72 yr old mother in law has gone through chemo treatment and radiation for lung cancer and she's on the mends. They reckon she'll have many more years to live.
Cancer treatment has come a long way recently.

Best regards

Sorry to hear that. Spend your time with your grandfather.

I'm sure Anony would hold one off to the side for when you're ready.

All the best
Zack

Take care of family, Tommy, nothing is more important ever. Best of wishes for your grandpa, as Doerman said, without a doubt cancer treatment is way more succesful these days.

Prayers and thoughts with you and your family PBT. It's good to see fellow riders who have a grounded perspective on what's important. Make the most of your time with your grandfather - the 1125s will still be here when you get back.

Tommy,

You're definitely in my prayers. I never knew either of my grandfathers and I always wished I had.

In the words of the immortal Webb Wilder:

"Put love above everything else
and the rest will take care of itself."

We'll all meet our inevitable ends, but only the lucky ones, like your grandfather Dr. Hutson, approach it with the support of family and friends that will be with them until they reach the point where they cannot follow any further. It's a sad day for you and the family, for sure, but what better way is there to approach the end of your own mortality?

One could only hope for the same.

You ROCK Dude,

I am very sorry for your Family first and second for you not getting your Dream Bike. Good Luck and God Bless.

My own personal belief, which doesn't mean I am right, but if I am, you have just laid up a HUGE reward on the other side man. If nothing else you've just got all our respect.

Tom,

Talk about karma. After a long (45 month) stay in hospice care, my mother passed away early this morning - I just got back from spending most of the day at the funeral home.

There were many times during the past 4 years that I could've stopped in for just a few minutes to see her but I'd always find something that "was just a little bit more important". I'm now kicking myself and it's starting to sink in that I'll never have that opportunity again - at least in this life. Don't let that happen to you.

Sounds like you're doing the right thing and as someone already pointed out, it will pay off.

Deepest sympathy, Towjam. You will be in our prayers.

My Grampa passed away Dec.14, '96. A week before that I went to visit with him, not knowing his poor condition. I couldn't leave after seeing him and spent the entire time at his side, doing what I could for him. I was sitting with him when he passed, holding his hand. It was the very worst week of my life. Above that, it is and always will be the most cherished.

Tom, you won't ever regret your visit, no matter how long or short it may be.

Yikes! Very sorry to hear Towjam. Both my folks are still in good shape, mid 70s, but I worry about that. They live in Texas and I'm in Colorado. Wife lost her pop two weeks after we married. She didn't take it well.

Strong heart man, lean lots on friends and family, they are your best crutch.

Y'all are both in our prayers...

I lost my Dad almost 3 years ago. No one can prepare you for the lost of a loved one. We all have to deal with it in our own way.

What we can do is spend as much time with them while they are here, whether it is in person or over the phone. We each make those choices and have to live with them. We do what we have to do in our own heart and mind.

PBT do what you feel is best and we all will be with you 110%.

Towjam, sorry about your Mom. Time to remember all the good times and your life together. Don't kick yourself for what could have been, just remember what was and what is in your heart.

Neil S.
