Start saving! Buell doesn't officially comment on future products, but you have to know how to read between the lines. That's how I "officially" announced the water cooled, Rotax engine bike on February 24th 2005. This was world wide exclusive that was hotly denied by those in the know at the time. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/99505.html?1109243823 Using the exact same crystal ball, I will now predict that there will definitely be an S version of the Helicon propelled bike, among others. And no, I am not at liberty to say when they will be at your dealers. |

from the top dog @ buell Q: What are the plans for the 1125R as a platform? Can we expect an expansion similar to the XB models? A: I think you could expect that we will expand the use of that powertrain into other segments of the market. I think you can expect a similar approach as we have done with the XB. We take a basic platform and make sure that it works right for different segments of the market. Im waiting on the 1125X |

There are so many great naked bikes in the market: Benelli TNT Triumph Speed Triple Aprilia Tuono KTM SuperDuke The problem that I have is that if the new naked bike isn't as exciting as the ones on the market currently, I will be very disappointed. I am expecting so much. I just don't want to be disappointed. All four of the other options are just do dead sexy! Please Elves, don't leave me motorcycle blue balls. I need satisfaction. |

The problem for me concerning the other naked bikes is that none of them look as right as the XB does. The rotax in an XB model would awesome if done right. The challenge I see with keeping the styling right is how to cool the thing without those big radiator pods. Using those wouldnt look right on a streetfighter. Luckily for us Buell is ahead of the game when it comes to innovative and creative solutions to things like this. I would like to see Buell come up with a creative way to mount a radiator to a naked bike and still keep the awesome styling of the XB line. If they can do that than Im game. |

The TNT has cool sidepods.
I'd love to see something similar. They won't have to worry as much about the CFD numbers on a naked bike. |

I love the XBS ergos, however the one thing that can be bothersome and tiring is lack of wind protection (especially on those windy days). I am a bit apprehensive about the 1125r's ergos as I will be coming over from the S, but I am hoping that the Quiet Zone and all the CFD that has gone into this machine will offset the more aggressive ergos. I think the time that Buell has spent on the Quite Zone is one of the most exciting things about the 1125r and I would hate to miss it with a possible 1125s (plus the huge fact that the 1125s may or may not come and the 1125r is HERE!) |

Subframe mounted radiators comes to mind... absolutely. with side vents like an italian sports car. (i know those are more for the brakes, but....the radiators are in the "back" of those cars, too....) you could put the vents left and right, and make it look like the scoop on the XB. somebody hire me! I'm sure there are a few 'authentic' 1125 streetfighters by now. |
