huh ya.. I'm out as well. I got a call and need to go to NYC ASAP. it's a rather nice feeling when you receive a call saying "are you Scott the Buell guy?". I should be back in town on Friday. I'll fill you all in when I get back. |

Old Glory HD/Buell put on a great event, just a shame the weather did not cooperate. The Total Control seminar was excellent! DEMO RIDES ARE ON TODAY (SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!) Boneyard Battle was rescheduled to the 17th of November. Pictures from yesterday are over in the Open House Thread. |

Hey Ramon.. A guy at the track Sunday said you had some problems with your bike Saturday? Sorry I missed it.. Last I'd heard was that it was canceled. So I ended up sleeping late and doing some stuff around the house.. then when I looked and saw that it was still on.. well.. I'd already missed the window of opportunity.. The track day was pretty cool.. There were something like 5 Buells there (3 tubers, 2 XB's). The first session was kind of hairy as tires and track were both pretty cold. However, buy the second session (as Robin put it) I was getting into the groove and started running some decent laps. Passed a few folks (ok a bunch of folks) on the technical playground that is the Shenandoah and was really starting to enjoy myself. Among the folks that were there was a young gent on a Suzuki that works at Old Glory (his first track day) and hopefully he'll see the light and get himself an XB soon especially after watching me go around him and the bike in front of him (I know he didn't see me pass the two behind him) in the hairpin at the end of the main straight. Unfortunately, my day ended early when Robin slipped and fell on the muddy/damp (semi)grassy hill that the concession stand sits on and broker her ankle! I packed up and took her to the E-room.. Yep, broken in multiple spots. Hope to have more info on it soon as she's able to call an Ortho guy and make an appointment for today (she'll probably need surgery).. Oh well.. I guess she's done riding for a while.. At least it wasn't in the middle of the season.. |

Pete, Yeah, that's Plinko from OG. He was trying to get me to go. I'm hoping to be able to afford a few track days next year. You need to call Steve Scalia @ OG. They are meeting either this week or next to plan for next year's activities and they want to include track days. I told Steve you'd be a good person to talk to on this subject. You should have his email address. If not, let me know and I'll send you his contact info. Please call or email him soon. Took the 9 on Sat, I think the battery is on its last leg. It charges, as long as the bike runs regularly. If left unused for 2-3 days, it barely starts the bike and resets the clock and trip meters. -Ras |

Update on Robin... OK, the break is in two places, both the Fibia and Tibia - the small points that stick out on either side of your ankle, well that's what she broke. Last night she was in the hospital for surgery. Had a plate and four screws put in. I was at the hospital until about 1030pm last night and will be picking her up around 12 noon ... She's gonna be laid up for the next 6 weeks or so.. Damn. That sucks... Ramon.. Send me the info.. I'll call Steve as soon as I can. As a matter of fact, I'm 'off' from work today (to take care of setting Robin up at home) .. I'll try and give a first buzz as soon as Robin is set.. |

i went to the wall dedication on saturday. i was the only buell in a sea of harleys. there were a few ricers there. but it was all about the individuals on the wall, not the type of bike you ride. it was quite a moving ceremony. |

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the dedication cerimony. I'll make a trip over there sometime thru the winter months as I ride. A co-workers sisters name is on the wall or will be. The idea and action of the folks involved with setting the memorial up is very nice. |

I went there but I was in the car and got there about 11:30 they told me to park along side of the road so I didn't stay. I'm going back to see it and see if I can get a name on it. K |

DC, VA and MD Riders, does anyone in your area know of a guy or gal that rides a 1996 S2T that lives in Woodbridge VA. The reason I ask is because I have the signature series timing cover and documentation that goes with his or her bike. The last four of the VIN is 0347. The bike may have been sold but may still be in the area. I know this is a shot in the dark but if you have any S2T riders out there then ask them to check their VIN. I think the bike was sold from the HD/Buell of Washington DC dealership in 1996. I can be reached via PM or email at f_skinner@yahoo.com. If they are willing to sell the bike I may have to take a road trip your way. Thanks for your time. Frank |

Call Frank in service @ the H-D store. 410-238-2003. if thats not his bike I'll be suprised. also have him do a fuzzy search by typing in the ( * ) sign and the last 6 of the vin. this will tell you if they have ever seen the bike. |

Tickets go on sale Monday, the 12th, for the MotoGP race at Indianapolis Speedway on Sept 14th, 2008. I know some of you had talked about going. It would be nice if we could get a group together. |
