I just put a race ECM in my 04 XB12 and noticed that the fan seems to cycle on and off when cool and that the check engine light illuminated on the highway while I was doing about 75 MPH. Other than that, it seems to work great...Im running the Buell race muffler as well. Has anybody else had this happen? |

Does the engine light come on each time you get up to 75, or was this a one time thing? Check all the connections going to the ECM, making sure they're nice and snug. |

I double checked the connections. The light @ 75 mph came on after a 5 or 10 min push down the interstate. I was thinking that the bike may have thought that it was overheating. |

Mine did the same when the stator and regulator took a crap. CEL and skip spark mode above 75MPH. I'd check the battery, stator and regulator. The CEL timing may be coincidental to the installation of the ECM. |

The timing of the occurrence of the Check Engine Light. Sorry for the confusion. |

LOL, So the common thought here is that I may have elec. issues independent of the new ECM. Good deal. Ill have the Dealer check it out when they install a new motormount (under warranty of course). Thanks abunch. Leo |
