So what does this have to do with Buell, you ask.Well, it does, sort of. I was at Glendale HD&B today and an employee asked me if I though a local Buell promo involving the band Angels and Airwaves would be cool. (Glendale does at least one "band in the street event" every month) I'd never heard of that band so I asked her why? Well they are Buell riders (at least some of them) and as such she thought it would be a cool idea. I thought so too. Here's a link to their website: http://www.angelsandairwaves.com/ If you're local to LA look at Glendale website for future events. (I figured the plug is ok since Glendale is now a BadWeb sponsor) Cheers Asbjorn |

HECK YEAH!! Thanks for posting Bjorn - and HECK YEAH again - it's cool since Glendale is a sponsor... I didn't know how official it really was (been sick the whole week) AWESOME deal - thanks for bringing it up. Glendale will be doing a mailing to their regulars, it'll be a good time! We'll post up the announcement with details when it's emailed to the masses. Often, Jeff Dixon (XBRR Racer Extraordinaire) will do DJ duties between sets! Really cool to talk racing and riding while the band is playing. Can't wait! We're talking serious fun - and great music. |

The guitar player (David) came into the shop today...Nice guy, real tall, about 6-4 or so, just got a new Uly. He's definitely Uly sized, and he's already doing a lot of the things I did to mine, lower bars, regular XB fender, removed handguards, bar end mirrors, etc. He'd just lost his Triumph Thruxton in the fires in Poway this week. Their band was Just at Willow Springs with Buell, part of the event that occurred the day before the Inside pass day. He and his band mates did some time on the 1125r's there. Not sure what the whole event was about, though. Al |

Rex- yes, we're talkin. Spent some time cruising the A&A website and myspace. I didn't realize that the singer was from Blink 182. I was never much of a Blink 182 fan, too punkish for my tastes, but I liked that they brought more vocal melody/harmony to punk than most. But this stuff sounded pretty cool to me. |

I agree Al. Not exactly my kind of music but it sounds good. The web design for A&A and the video trailer is really top notch! I hope they will be at Glendale, that would just be really cool! Asbjorn (Message edited by doerman on October 28, 2007) |

EMO is short for emotional rock, whiney crying young men making semi-suicidal music. they were Guyliner(mean wearing womens eyeliner), red ties and black clothes. usually have starved appearences and on many occasions wear said clothing 3 sizes to small |

Angels and Airwaves are not an EMO band! Geez, brush up on your modern rock band knowledge! Good Charlotte is EMO! |

Talking about brushing up. I though he meant ELO. I guess I have a long way to go! Asbjorn |

The one song I heard sounded whiny.. |

OK, I'll give you that they may have one or more whiney songs. But then we need to classify Neil Young, Eagles, U2, John Lennon, the Stones, etc. as EMO. And ELO. In fact the only rawk star who didn't whine was Johnny Cash, and he wore black, so he's probably a closet EMO. Or is "the 309" EMO anyhow? OK. RATM is NOT EMO. Emotional, yes, stupid yes, EMO NO. |

BTW, here's a clip. Excellent song and good live sound I have to say, especially for the U2 kind of layered echo stuff. And no guyliner in sight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnWJrXaHnrs Also, their are a lot of shots of the riding Buells on their website. Tuber and XB, so all Badwebbers should like them! |

They have an XB on the front page of their web site. I'd say they are Buell enthusiasts. Since Homecoming is taking in the Milwaukee Music Festival in 08, Buell ought to see if they can get them to play at the festival. While they are at it, get Queensryche and any other Buell loving bands. |

Bjorn, Don't feel bad... ELO was about the most interesting band that came out of MY growing up period. I played cello and ANY rock band that could run with the cello in any recording or performance was allright in my book! Actually, I've looked/read/listened a bit on the AvA link and they're not at all bad. (see, I'm using abbreviations like an insider now) - |

When "The Adventure" was being overplayed by KROQ out here in the LA area, Loli's health wasn't so great. We got snow. It was sort of a surprise. Despite her very marginal respiratory status, she insisted we drive up Angeles Forrest Highway. Lotsa silly folk and their variously disabled vehicles were littering the roadside, but here we were driving up the mountain surrounded by white, Loli with more of a smile on her face than I'd seen in a long time. Then that song came on. Something about the slow sweeping slick conditions and the dotted eighth note cheesey 80's era delay... The bridge section... It all just sorta worked in that moment. It was one of those perfect memories. Whenever I hear it now, I'm transported back to that little Adventure of our own. -Saro |

I just verified with my 14y/o daughter, not EMO. Thats cause she thinks they are just dreamy! Thats like asking the guy on the geezerglide next to you at the light if he thinks your Buell is a better investment than his 2008 96" 6 clicker. |
