Looks like a standard H-D peg. This one seems pretty close -
Part # is 49117-77TB. Retail is 30.00$ |

Yes, that's the ones! Thank you very much for a quick reply. I'm guessing they are 1990/91 Sportster footrests. |

Go to h-d.com. Go to parts. Then like u guessed, go to dropdown for 1991 Sportster. There are quite a few options and you may find something you like better. Whatever you decide on , your local Harley dealer probably has them in stock. |

Thank you, that's great. The ones fitted are rather worn away and I just want to replace like for like. Your help is appreciated. |

Yep, they're a standard "multi-fit" accessory part in the HD catalog. As noted, any of the male mount pegs will work, but if you want match for match they're the ones |

Thanks, until the post above I was unaware that you could find things from the HD website. But then, I don't have a HD so I never go to that website. |

There in lies the rub Steve. You do have a H-D, indirectly. I would imagine being a '91 that most of your bike is Harley. I have a 2000 and many parts are still good old MoCo. Actually, you don't have to restrict yourself to the Harley website as any site that carries Sportster parts will have items that fit your bike. |

Thanks all. I'll be buying a set the next time I make an order for parts. I'm presently awaiting an order made last week before I realised I'd forgot about the foot rests. One day the bike will be finished, hopefully before about April 2008! |

My '79 Low Rider came with the same pegs. |

Even my '95 S2 is "lotsa HD" - a partial list: Foot pegs, shifter and brake pegs Hand controls, switchgear Handlebar sections welded to clipon clamps Ignition switch / keys Powertrain, down to the cams from what I can tell... Speedo drive and cable Indicator lamps Major electrical (relays, modules, etc) Remember...back "in the day", these were at their core a form of kit bike. An awesome machine, built around a stellar frame and suspension with sexy bodywork...but mostly sourced from Ma Davidson. Bear in mind this is not meant to be derogatory in any way - my S2 is one of the best all-around bikes I've ever ridden! And the best part is, when you need that odd part here and there and can't find it or give the parts guy the deer-in-headlights look when you ask ...there's usually another more "mainstream" source! |
