say, I bought this race ecm for my x1. (thanks Dave) it's spent a cold and dreary few winter months sitting in a cupboard. am I going to NOTICE it when I have it put in shortly? I mean w/out doing anything but TPS reset. am I going to be like "Woah!" or "oh." ? like should I hold off untill after the spring rain washes off some of the road gravel forst, or business as usual. Thanks, curious. |

My X1 has had the race ECM on it since the day I got it so I can't make a comparison. But the difference was noticeable once I had the TPS reset. The previous owner installed the ECM without the reset and I never was happy with the way it ran. Now it's much better.....

My S3 just seem to run a lot smoother and was far more responsive after doing the race ecm and tps reset. Adding the SuperTrapp exhaust and gutting the airbox helped as well. Now when I get a chance to ride a stock S3, it seems like another world. |

ditto.. my 02 X1, i had the air box gutted and the suppertrapp w/ 20 discs... and the stock ECM when i upgraded to the Race ECM the engine was a different beast all together.... much smoother idle, quicker throttle... smoother shifts... etc... my 2Cents |
