Thanks for the video link. I'll enjoy watching that one over and over while I'm waiting out my PMS. |

Yeah, I'm not sure if it hurts or helps really. I've gotta go polish my stupid filthy PMs or something. |

You guys should really pick up the Isle of Mann TT video from Duke Video. F1, Proddy 600 and 1000, sidecar A and B, Junior TT, Senior TT, Onboard laps with telemetry and commentary... Excellent stuff. |

It's excellent. Great camera work. I particularly like the Production 1000 race and the John McGuiness onboard lap w/ commentary. During the Proddy 1K race there's some EXCELLENT footage of a rider facing camera of McGuiness... Damnit... Now I have to go home and watch it again... |

The video title says 1200GS, but that is definitely not an R1200GS. I was going to guess it's an R1100RT, but I don't know my beemers well enough to tell them apart by the dash. In any case, that guy is smooth and runs down some serious hardware while making it look easy. Another thing, can you imagine trying a run like that on a public street in the U.S.? The vigilante road ragin' cagers would make it lethal own their own, let alone the LEOs that would likely start video surveillance and issuing citations to anyone who even showed up on two wheels. |

I sent it to a BMW board I'm on, and the guys agree it's a R1150gs, the older, heavier, smaller displacement offroad one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe there are no speed limits outside of the towns on the Island. |

I did a search for R1150GS. The dash in the video looks just like this one. The no speed limit thing would be really cool. It'd be nice if we could at least split lanes. |

FYI, It is legal to split lanes in Oregon, just thought you guys would like to know. Josh |

Re: speed limit on the Island: Just looked it up, 35mph in the towns, open season everywhere else. |

IOM Speed limit I believe they have instituted on the mountain road for the two weeks of the TT. The rest of the Island is wide open. They do have little tolerance for drinking and riding and even less for crashes that injure others. They could care less if you crash and mess yourself up. Actually they care a lot but figure it is your body to mess up if you want to just don't take a local with you, you might spend a long time in the local jail. |
