The only part showing is the first loop hole part of the frame - the rest is gone - the loop remains for bungee purposes, etc - not really needed otherwise - but its not really noticable unless your looking rear and to the side. GT - JBOTDS! EZ  | ||

Like EZ said, no real need for a cowl. If I ever decide to go any more minimal, maybe then. Of course, that would entail quite a bit more fabrication than just a cowl... (Cut the seat down to a solo, fab up a brace to mount the light and plate, fab up spacers so the signals would still be visible after putting them in the bungee holes, etc. etc. etc... Lots of work, not sure if I want to go there. Not yet, anyway. lol...) | ||

Well, you could take off the rear subframe, using the bolts, but mine is cut, just in front of the loops. The mount for the light, plate, and signals is the stock one, cut down and mounted directly to the bottom of the seat. It's separate from the tail section bodywork. And, don't worry about the questions, if you don't ask, you'll never know. Well, without taking apart your bike, anyway. lol... | ||

Pics of the the new Jardine mounted up    The sound is alot deeper than the Vance and Hines. The pipe is also about 12 decibels lower in the sound level. Mounting instructions are one page and a bit sparse but was able to switch out the pipes in a couple of hours. Will be getting up early tomorrow to take the long way to work. Have a great day | ||

Swampy, I am 6 foot tall. They actually do fit nice, did a ride last month with a group up north of me. Did about 225 miles that day, no problems with leg cramps. Just a sore tail end. | ||

I was going to wait until it was all done to unveil it. However, it's about 92.4% done and Blaster_S is complaining about the lack of pictures so I figured you guys might like to see how my Blast is evolving. :-)  | ||

Sweet bike... I like what you did there. Definite ideas for when the seat on mine has given its all (because if I'm replacing that, might as well go all the way with it, right? lol...) The pan looks great, really tightens up the look quite a bit. One question, where did you get the seat done? Did you customize the existing seat, or did you get one and "make it fit"? Again, looks totally sweet. We need more pics. lol... | ||

I really should have taken in-between pictures. Oh well, sorry guys wasn't thinking. (Those krylon fumes ya know) The Dremel was key in every step.  The guy in the picture is Chuck. He also used the Dremel to cut and shape the stock seat to what it is now. | ||

The tail section was hand-made by Chuck and I. To keep the angled shape of the stock tail I used about 2 inches of the stock plastic piece and then cut, heated, bent, folded, and squished pieces of the stock tail into a framework for fiberglass. After learning how to work with fiberglass we learned how to work with bodyfiller and clean things up. I think it looks good. A lot like those underseat kits you can buy for crotch-rockets.  LEDs all the way. | ||

That Jardine pic is making me curious...I mounted the muffler clamp thing on the other side of the bike....maybe I should go back and check those directions, but it seems to fit perfectly...interesting. | ||

I was thinking about taking a torch, heating up the bar, and attempting to "adjust" the back angle on the stock bars.... who thinks I"m crazy? Any advice if I attempt it? | ||
