Hi Guys, I just got word from Buell that they are making custom paint sets for the XB models. They look amazing. Check it out... (Message edited by blake on January 26, 2005) |

Dang, and I just got done spending money converting my XB9 over to black. With what I've spent on the conversion to black (and some carbon fiber) I could have easily justified the cost of that custom graphic set. Any larger pictures anywhere? |

Other color choices/color combinations besides those pictured? |

It's available now! It is new bodywork. It is a special application on the plastic and then clear coated on top of that. They look really cool in person. I have some coming. 10% discount of course! |

I'll need to see them in person I guess...to me, the blue looks like a bowling ball and the red looks like a brain! I thought that getting something "custom" meant you wouldn't see anyone else with the same stuff. It just seems a little pricey. For that kinda of cash you could get a real "custom" paint job. Heck, you could get a set of new plastics and a big tub of rit dye and do it yourself! Just my $.02. (Message edited by Tucsonxb9s on January 27, 2005) |

I'm a cheap bastard...well not REALLY, just married! It may be "only" $350 difference between stock and the new look, but you don't have to buy the stock plastics to change your look. Look at Captainplanet's orange XB9R or Odie's XB12S. They spent a LOT less than $800. Misato's baddass roulette green XB9S was painted by him...not sure of the cost but I don't think it was anywhere near $800. I'm not saying the new schemes are bad, in fact it's pretty cool that Buell would offer them at all. |

I guess part of it depends on the shape of your bike. I purchased mine used and half the parts were scratched up fairly heavy. I just finished replacing all of the blue panels with new and used black (some carbon as well). I would say I have about $800 or so in parts. For the little extra, I could have gone with the paint kit. |

Here is one for the Photoshop guru's!!! I would like to see a side profile of the 12S amber wheels on the Voltage, and I may have to consider it!! Can anyone hook a brother up? Please let me know, as I am p-shop dummy!! Thanks ahead of time Bruce |

I like the NEW XB color options! Even if you don't like them you have to admit that Buell is heading in a positive direction. There are more options and accessories then last year! Now I hope that there are more choices for the Buell clothing line. |

Lol... I was just thinking. I could get a extra set and change the color of my bike anytime I wanted. I do like that new center piece on the chin fairing. I'd just like some new mirrors. Like those mini race fairing mirrors. Oh well. |

Pricing will be quite funny once it hits the shore over here in Aust. Going from the usual x3 markup for componants we'd be loking at somewhere near $3K for a firebolt. |
