Blake, I believe you all came to the right decision, if it will stay contigency based. It would be nice to see Badweb decals on all the Buells at the race track, wether it be CCS, CMRA, Formula USA or AMA. I believe the Badweb to be a very good ambassador for the Buell MoCo and should be put wherever it can on Buell race bikes. Even if it is $20 to win a CCS or CMRA race if you have a decal on your bike, racers will do it. Where I came from, $20 is better than nothing. Formula USA guys would appreciate it also, I would bet Henry Duga would take care of handing them out at the track, but I can not speak for him. The only problem with contigency based $ is it can be a hard # to nail because it is based on performance and that varies. As far as our racing, we will be at the 200 and select AMA and Formula USA races from there out. Road America and Brainard for sure, very possibly Mid Ohio, Laguna may not be an option for Formula Extreme bikes, which will be quite a bummer for us. Later this week I should find out if we will be involved in a larger plan that would have us at more races with a larger effort. As far as shirts, I would be willing to offer my wife's company (through Hoban Brothers)to offer up at least $100 worth of T's. Very possibly more, but shes seems to take issue with my consistent donations from her business. She owns a promotional garment business and could do a simple t that states you are a part of team Extreme (or whatever)and a $100 donor would get one with his/her donation. Thankyou to all who have supported us, in this thread and throughout our racing years. 2005 will be exciting and we are looking forward to doing well in the 200. Jeff had a good talk with Erik the other day and he is committed to helping in anyway he can. Jeff feels if Erik could swing his leg over a Buell for the 200 he would do it in a heartbeat and that in itself has given Jeff motivation to do everything he can to be ready for the 200. |

I should be able to find some funds. Maybe I'll get our BRAG chapter to host a "fund raiser" for the cause. Also...I'll help with any other projects that need a workers. |

Would someone care to explain to me what "contingency award system" means? I was happy with the Badweb Consortium picking the team that has the best chance of winning. It seems the plan is changing but I don't understand how. Any words of clarification will be appreciated. Ingemar. |

Dana, Not asking for any type of overlordish intensive managerial effort, just for someone to post the running tally of contributors/preliminary pledges that this thread garners. Are you up to speed on the use of the \table{cut and paste spreadsheet table here} formatting function? |

I'm in for a $100 also. Are there BadWeb decals for race bikes?? I would like decals for my race bike no need for sponsorship money. Always been proud of the effort the folks on this board put forth. |

Would the funds raised be awarded the first year? What about future funds? All donations? or a mechanism (t-shirt or calander sales) put in place to generate more funds? |

Funny - Erik is not allowed to race (a condition of his employment) BUT he can wad himself into a bone-breaking ball by jumping his snowmobile! I heartily agree about putting the money out there as contingency money. I'd make it for Daytona only maybe since the potential for visibility is greater there than the end of season (unless they DO make Laguna Seca an FX stop) |

Dennis: Mucho congratulado.....the only one I see missing is when I shot my mouth off about the "dull Australiaphile" and ended up, thereby, putting myself in for my 2nd $100. Mark "Pilot" (Ross Northwood) for $100 and I'll pay it. Court For the record this is the least, in $$, opening my big mouth has ever cost me. I consider this a bargain and urge more smart-arsed American to insult Austalians for the good of Buell racing. For a complete listing of Austalians eligible and ready to be insulted....just ask!

Ingemar: I'll let Jose' or Blake handle the details, but for now think of it as a carrot on the end of a stick. If you win (as an example) 1st, 2ndor 3rd place AND (this is the important part) HAVE A WWW.BADWEATHERBIKERS.COM sticker on the bike, you get some pre-determined sum of money. Usually it's not much and they pay down to places like 10th. The idea is sound. We may, and smarter minds will be more capable of deciding, pay only a few places and pay higher amounts. We are going to have a limited pool of funds. Like I say, I'm no expert as this. This is just my impression. Court |

As soon as Dana gets up to speed with the \table{past spreadhseet info here} formatting function, he'll be wanting to help. He's a real helpful kinda guy. |
