My girl friend bought me frame pucks for my 9r and was told that it would be a week. They never called to say they were in and now we are at the three week spot. So we went to the dealer, Asked, and got the, well they were on back order when you ordered them, and then HD closes for christmas and it looks like they just came off back order today so it should be another week. Any of you guys with access to harley net know if its true. Girlfriend tried to do good, even though I gave here a link to dave.... |

Took about that long for me to get them about three months ago, they were backordered then as well. |

Anyone have a pic of a Buell with the pucks installed? They strike me as essential... |

And yes, I think they are essential. I've all but discontinued the American Sport Bike frame pucks since the Buell ones came out, they Buell ones are much better. They're not the most beautiful pieces in the world, but hey, form follows function and all accounts are that they function pretty darn well. I'm looking at tooling up some CF covers for them that will look a little sharper, but the beauty of the Buell pucks are that they are both cheap and disposable. I've never been partial to the full frame CF pieces because they cost too much to replace in a shunt, but if I can produce some small covers for the Buell pucks for the right price, they might be worthwhile. Someone here on badweb suggested it, it seems like a good idea. Al |

I won't leave home without them. They are a pretty complicated piece, not just a big rubber sticker. |

If it hadn't been for football...errr I mean the Frame pucks the bottom pic is how my frame would have looked after my gravel lowside. |

Reepicheep - "Yes - It Goes Fast No - You Can't Ride It" My dad bought it for me, and I thought it was clever enough to put on. I think that will be it for the stickers though. It actually goes pretty well because of it being black and white.

Wycked, What part of the bike did you you take that second pic from? The engine? I'm trying to think what hits first on the XB. I'm guessing, the frame. But if you have sliders, then there's gotta be a second point that drags as well, unless it balance perfectly on top of a slider in a lowside. On my SV the solid pegs hit, then the bars. |

Ben, the peg hit then folded up, which let the bottom edge of the motor and shiftlever hit. Bar end then hit breifly before the framepuck and oilcooler made contact. |
