The good news is, it's free... The bad news is, it's bent, about an inch or so to the left overall, and some of the welds are cracked. If you need or want a '03 9R tail subframe and have the skills & ability to fix it, it's yours if you cover shipping cost. (All is well again. This is from the slide I took last year. Pay attention to those suspension settings boys & girls.) |

Where relative to Chicago are you located? This might fit into a background project I'm working on. I'm about 20 minutes north of Milwaukee. But if an XB owner needs it give them first dibs. |

Comparing gas and time to postage what do you think it'd cost to mail it? Zip 53074. Or maybe we could set up a relay team and shuttle it up north? Anybody heading this direction from down there? I've got a bit of a time crunch over the next couple of weeks. |

Pick a Hooters somewhere in between that is closer to you than me & I'll trade it for a meal and an opportunity to meet another Buell'r. Don't worry bout my time or gas. |

There's one at the corner of S.76th and Layton in Milwaukee a few miles west of House of Harley and a few blocks north of Southridge Mall. I-94 north, I-43 west, exit at 76th, south on 76th a block or so, turn west on Layton and it's on the right/north side of the street. Dyna knows where it is. http://www.google.com/local?hl=en&lr=&sa=G&q=hooters&near=Milwaukee,+WI&oi=local d&radius=0.0&latlng=43038888,-87906388,1568248003496376855 Pick a time, just not Saturday. I've got Friday off work, or get off work during the week after 4:30. Or whenever you'll be up this way. Suburban Harley has their clearance sale going on, not sure of their hours though. Don't know what Hal's has happening, haven't been down there in months. |

Got a family function to deal with on Saturday, not sure how late it will run. Next Saturday the 8th might be good though. Any Saturday after the 15th is open so far. |

I'm off tomorrow. PM and we'll finish up the details in private. Know anyone else in the area from here we could pull into a sitdown? |

Tomorrow being new year's eve I don't know who'll be off early. There's the usual BrewCity crew and a few other locals. Blastin/Jerry may or may not be off work early depending on what time you have in mind. My other half gets off work at 3 so earlier than that and I'll be solo, after that I'll be dual. CJ lives in the area, not sure what her work day schedule is like. Doughnut &/or Dullorb are in the region, don't know their schedules. Kinger, Steve, others? Pick a time that works for you. I'll PM the cell number. Anyone else feel free to chime in as well, here or PM. After about 3pm today I may or may not be offline, up to local management's feelings and moods. Message on the way. |

I'm thinking late afternoon, somewhere bewteen lunch and dinner. My body clock has a way of knowing that it does not really need to wake up (i.e. go to work), so I can tell you I'll be sleeping in with or w/o intention. I was going to drop off the Mrs's at the Grand Avenue Mall for the duration. Sounds like this could be a nice social. Roll that around. Will call. |

Yeah, I don't have anything really planned for tomorow. I can probably make it. May even ride, if I can get my master cyl changed over, replace yet ANOTHER speedo cable(#3 in 5K), and replace the turn signals I busted when i dumped it about a month ago on the S3 Supposed to be 46 and sunny tomorow! |

I don't work tomorrow and could probably make it during that time myself, HOWEVER spending New Year's Eve at Hooter's isn't exactly exciting to me !! I was going to drop off the Mrs's at the Grand Avenue Mall for the duration. Sounds like this could be a nice social. Roll that around. Will call. Now I might can be persuaded to go shopping, duh !! Or just bring her along to meet us, I bet Mackay could bring his wife Toni and us girls could find something better to do than hooters or the mall !! Trust me, I would never get anyone into trouble !! LOL CJ |

Kinger mentioned 1:00 on the BCBRAG section, so either then or 4:00 would work for me. I'll check back in the morning to see what works for everyone. |

MikeJ, Midknyte, it was great to meet you guys. And CJ, as always, it was nice to see you. Have a happy new year! CJ, ya know, the dancing on the tables was fine... But you should have at least put the T-shirt on when we told ya to (Message edited by steve_mackay on January 01, 2005) |

A very nice time it was, and the food surprised a few folks as well. Should be a good riding season coming up. Keep your eyes on the news. I'm going to plan on Slimey Crud Run, and maybe a little pre-run looksee around then as well. Most likely won't have the new tailsection in use by then, but should be farther along with the thoughts and plans. I've got a feeling the backroads will have plenty of double-takes for those with good eyes during this upcoming riding season. |

Yep. I've got to visit a couple of shops for some permission-granted dumpster diving to gather up a few more needed parts. Plus I came across some pics yesterday that might have given me a viable tangent if the primary plan doesn't work out. I'll be sure to take photos once I get the torch out or start mocking things up some. |

Keeping that in mind, but still need spare/broken/used parts to fiddle with. I should post a parts wanted post but January is going to be disjointed enough as it is. |
