...over the rainbow. ok, right outta the gate here's a big, fat disclaimer for you: there's very little that's "motorcycle" or "tale" related here, except, well, this is a stretch...the pix you're about to see were taken just a few moments ago here at the ThunderDome, the site of much Buell-related madness and mayhem over the past few years. yeah, that's it! er, close enough???  depending on your monitor, you may be able to make out part of the ThunderDome in the left side of the photo behind the yucca plant, and the bright horizontal streak you see running left-right in mid-pic above is the North Fork of the Kern River. however, as mesmerizing as the view to the east was, the view behind us, to the west, was even MORE amazing...  this is looking pretty much due west from Wofford Heights, California, looking up the Bostrom (Highway 155) toward Alta Sierra, Greenhorn Summit, and Shirley Meadows.  as the minutes clicked by, me 'n D shivering nearly uncontrollably in the 25-degree air but unable to tear ourselves away long enough to grab a coat, the lighting became more dramatic, and the rainbow began to grow. (Message edited by jerry_haughton on December 30, 2004) | ||

 and then a second rainbow appeared! towards the right of the photo you can see the weather starting to roll over the top, soon to engulf the Bostrom. (Message edited by jerry_haughton on December 30, 2004) | ||

 it took a pretty unique set of events for this sunrise and rainbow to come to life in such a spectacular manner, and i hope that despite the paucity of motorcycle-related content y'all enjoyed it as much as we did. I also awoke yesterday to a rainbow stretching the length of our Yuma / Sonoran Desert. (Sorry, didn't have the camera = no pics) Must be all this moisture coming in from the coast!!! thanks Jim, the pix are decent, but nothing close to seeing it all live-action. i was shaking so bad while i took the shots - partly from the cold, partly from the excitement - i'm suprised that ANY of them turned out. I hate English! in know EXACTLY what you mean:  thanks Charlieboy. | ||

I think buck and butt are regional preferences. Out west we say, "Butt Naked." But in regions where the number of teeth you retain dictate seniority in the tribe it's "Buck Naked" from their hunting folley. LOL! | ||
