I'm very openly not a Trump loyalist, or a fan of the persona. But I'm also aware of a few accomplishments that I approved of. "Energy Independence" wasn't actually his accomplishment except when he reversed Obama Executive Orders to prevent it, so I'm fine with him taking credit, as long as you realize the real credit goes to the geologists and engineers who made Fracking work. The Abraham Accords Does deserve full credit to Donald, almost certainly the most important diplomatic event since the Potsdam Conference, or Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, though it will take time to see if it fails as spectacularly. Perhaps the Reclamation of Japan is a better fit. I hope so. And I freely admit the way Trump just drives to hysteria the Republican Establishment, is entertaining to watch. Like a truck full of hogs stalled on a train track. In metaphorical sense, I don't really want to see the ( not human ) swine hurt. And hearing truth about the Party Media? Priceless. | ||

If I could wish for one thing in the world it would be for people to understand that this is firmly and completely against their own interests: 4. Unlike you, Americans do not believe in socialism. They believe in meritocracy. They don't care about the super rich being super rich because they know that they live in a country where being super rich is available to anyone with the talent and drive to make it. They don't resent success, they celebrate it. Life in the US and to only a slightly lesser extent in Europe is like starting on the endgame state of a game of Monopoly where all the streets are taken. There's no competing with multinational megacorps, there no competing with billions of inherited wealth, there just isn't. And calling it a meritocracy is wildly off the mark. A kleptocracy is what it is and these people are robbing you blind. Fair taxation, a robust safety net, protection of worker's rights, fair wages, unions, strong anti trust laws, regulation of stock trading - that's what you had in the 50's and 60's and it built a strong middle class and the kind of society you'd want to live in. Call it socialism, call it whatever you want, but I'd take it over the late stage capitalist hellscape we have right now. And yes, the democrats are just as complicit in bringing that about if you ask me, they're just slightly less xenophobic about it. You assume a zero sum game and business as usual. It's not, and it never is, for long. I think you mistake negative reaction to the Obama-Biden* policy to deliberately import millions of "refugees" which are supported by taxpayer's money and not restricted/vetted to even try to not let criminals in, for xenophobia. Americans are all descended from, or are, immigrants. I'm certainly not saying there's No xenophobia, that's silly, but we generally, and widely welcome immigrants that want to have better lives through the opportunity to work hard and get ahead. More than one of my own doctors have been immigrants. From Germany, Pakistan, Iran, and the latter 2 escaped from Islamist terrorism and conquest. Literally with the clothes on their backs, carrying children. Joe* Imported millions who were, in 2021, not even tested for Covid, while firing U.S. service members and public servants who resisted taking an experimental vaccine that was killing a number of young athletic men. ( which was devastating to European athletes, as I watched the Bicycle racers decimated. ( exaggeration, but 1 in a hundred is still staggering ) Crime from illegal immigrants, aka Invited Invaders, has massively increased under Joe*. I'm sure you have reason to dislike the European Establishment, which has been for centuries the REASON we get immigrants from Europe seeking a better life. ( from the time of the first colonists ) I'd argue your opinions on Capitalism vs. Socialism. First, I point out the biggest murderers in history are Socialist/Communist, with the Chinese People's Republic, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and the National Socialist Worker's Party, being the top 3 in slaughtering their own subjects. And the first 2 are ecological disasters on a Biblical scale. But I will agree unregulated Capitalism, or more properly, government run Capitalism, gives us a China that literally sells human organs harvested from political prisoners, and Billion$ stolen from taxpayers to support the rich that bribe the politicians. Here, an example is Solyndra, ( bribing Obama paid really good for at least 6 years! ) & I'm sure you have E.U. examples. | ||

Btw, the Netherlands are on my short list of countries I want to tour. Preferably on a motorcycle. And Arnhem, top of the places I want to see with my own eyes. I'm sure the devastation from the very famous battle is mostly rebuilt, but the terrain would be fascinating to consider, historically. While my specific interest is technology, and the Dutch artificial environment is mind blowing, ( plus I have long wanted to skate on the canals & you can guess the novels that inspired that ) I have discovered seeing the terrain of a battle is really informative in ways that academic written history falls flat. Our Civil War battlefields are great examples of that. Seeing the actual place reveals how things were hidden, why certain places were so important, etc. Probably the one place that drove home the difference between books and reality to me, personally, was Little Big Horn, the site of "Custer's Last Stand". In a land of spectacular views, it's just an area of rolling grassy hills. No buildings, nothing special, but the tourist parking lot on a hill in the middle of nowhere, overlooks the battlefield. Nothing but long grass waving in the wind. ( And empty brass cartridge cases if you walk through even today ) And you quickly realize how Custer's expedition got trapped. | ||

The military and State have to be hammered, too. We've got more Admirals than ships, more Generals than battalions. And the upper ranks are almost all appointed by Obama & Puppet Joe*. And the nature of the Beast is the evil ones will destroy everything to stay in power. So mass arrests, polygraph testing, incommunicado holding locations. Standard DOJ protocols won't work, and the DOJ is considered corrupt and in desperate need of reform too. It would be easier to burn it all down, but that's not possible or desirable.
