Body language, psychoanalysis by some partisan who literally never met the person, chicken entrails & bones. Just because I may agree with the body language interpretations of Kackle's attitude/fear/discomfort doesn't validate it. Although I do rate the body language tells ideas as pretty good and the "remote shrink the enemy" very differently. If you've hired a shrink to do remote analysis of an opponent, in politics or business, or war, to better understand and defeat, that's one thing. As a consultant, you judge the accuracy on past performance etc. It's a gray area ethically, but a common practice in many fields. It's another ethical issue when you hire shrinks to PUBLISH analysis of Your Enemy for propaganda reasons. Seriously violates the Hippocratic oath. Now, how much you believe depends upon multiple factors, including your personal opinion of the voodoo involved, which side you trust, etc. Imho, starting with unethical behavior should invalidate trust... But the observed and far too common examples of blindly following the Cult of personality figures seems to show that is too often not considered. | ||
