Yesterday I went out for a ride and noticed that my low beam (HID converted) and stock high beams wouldn't work. Taillights and directional fine and no lights with handlebar movement. I did do the repair to the neck harness and ground a long time ago. Headlights confirmed good via battery on my car. Jiggling the large black cowl to bar does nothing. Took the cowl off and have been trying to figure it out this morning. - No power to white wire at headlights - Black wire at high beam is not going to ground. - If I ground the black wire at high bean light, the low beam HID starts up but NOT the low beam - If I keep this temporary ground wire on and then apply power to the white high beam terminal, both lights come on. Anyone come across this gremlin? I'm wondering if it is the left handlebar switch or?? +++ jpeg +++ 901653 +++ +++ (Message edited by glenn on September 02, 2024) |

Turns out to be a ground issue. I'll be running a new wire. |

I've found it good to write things out sometimes, it seems to trigger your brain! When I went to the "both lights on" conversion I ran an extra ground since the ground wire for both lights was not very big and also because the ground wire looked a little overheated. |
