Predius - Got any pics of your Uly XT? I'd love to see them. If you don't want them publicized, you could Email them to me at dedsld1313 at gmailDAHTcom |

Basically done the bare minimum to make the bike safe, torn off the easy items to drop weight, lower bars, Firebolt peg brackets and cheap eBay pegs. I did spring for a used STM slipper clutch, and the belly pan is from CBS in Greece. IDS ECU with Drummer tune as mine was flakey, and fuel pump rebuilt. It's on factory, untouched suspension and working better than it has any right to, I do want to get a Penske made for the rear, have the front gone through and resprung. It could use custom brake lines as the XTs are too long for this setup, I'm still up in the air about at ZTL2 swap... If I do attempt MotoA again, the front headlight pod / gauge bracket will be gone, so I'll need to fab a new bracket and decide how to deal with the cluster of wiring in there. |

I am somewhat surprised they let you on the track with the speed differential. Is this not considered extremely dangerous? |

Last year there was an American Air Cooled Twins subclass, that's what I set the XB up for. Big Twins, Sportsters, all reworked for road racing, the XB was kinda the cheat code for the subclass that no one else had jumped on yet. Massive range of speeds and paces, but the top fast guys are great at going around as long as you run a clean predictable line. The rules based qualifying on the time of the 5th fastest bike, but they gridded all entries anyways. This year, no more subclass, and almost no air cooled machines showed up. Qualifying was switched to match other classes, based on the fastest rider's time, 115% cutoff, and it was enforced, so I didn't make the mains. Still, the fast guys were awesome on track, I got blitzed on the banking but it was all clean and politely done. |

This sucks. With his talent, he deserves a ride on a Superbike! https://www.roadracingworld.com/news/motoamerica-s choltz-racing-in-supersport-championship/ |

Good guy too. At least he's still in the paddock. I wonder how competitive his ride is in Supersport? |

Helluva debut weekend for Superbike! Both races were nail-biters. Definitely think Gagne's going to have his work cut out for him to retain the #1 plate this year! |

Got my ticket for Laguna Seca here in a week and a half. I am hopeful for an enjoyable weekend but still have major reservations. Surprise me please. My reservations are not about the quality of the racers but the management of the track for the spectators experience. MotoGP 2006 this will not be. |

We will be there too. Just know that MA is in charge of about everything. The track management may suck but they are largely out of the picture. And yes this event has gone downhill since 2021 when they got back to the traditional July date. The vendors and paddock keep shrinking and it just seems less and less each year (including Porta Potties by our campsite!!!). Maybe the biggest disappointment will be that Michael Hill will be missing this year. I hope I am wrong but WSBK has an event on the same weekend which probably means he is out for MA. It will be a big loss to the event. (Message edited by fresnobuell on July 03, 2024) |

Tried to get on the grid at Mid Ohio, couldn't get it done. I love the track, it's my new favorite, was really hoping the layout would favor handling over raw HP giving me a fighting chance. It did and didn't, closest I've gotten yet, but still 126mph trap speed vs 155mph resulted in a gap I couldn't cover with my talent level. |

Herrin wins the title. Toprak is the only person standing in the way of a Ducati sweep this year. |
