Just thought I'd post about my new addition the family. 2009 XB12XP.
In the middle of trying to get the clutch to stop slipping on my 1125R, still down,
I found a good deal on what I thought was a standard XB12X but when looking up the VIN found out it was XP police model.
I didn't even see the Special Duty tank badge until I had ridden it home from Albuquerque to Texas and took off the tank bag I had my map in.
Stock except for a ECM from IDS and K&N.
I'm so glad I got it. Really enjoying every ride. What a great machine.

Congrats! IMO the Uly is still my choice for sport touring and occasional jeep trail duty! The only Buell I fit on! Enjoy, it's still a great motorcycle!

You lucky devil! They are awesome machines. How did you find it? I've been checking the classifieds on this forum. I sold my 2008 XT and really miss it. They are great bikes.

Just saw the upgraded mirrors, nice!

How many miles are on it?

If you want a satisfying intake honk take off the airbox cover. You'll have to cover the interactive exhaust with something, I used a plastic container with cutouts and placed my tank bag over it. The sound was fun for me, and I'm sure making it easy to breath didn't hurt. YMMV.

Thanks whisperstealth..The mirrors do work well. Turn signals are an upgrade.
The bike had 15,100 when I got it in April, it has 16,650 now.
I would like the exhaust to be a little louder but would like to keep stock or like design and not as loud as the Borla on my M2 though. Rode the long way to work early this am. Great way to start the day.
