On a ride up into southern Colorado (from central NM) at a fuel stop I heard a voice ask "...what year is your GSA?" We started chatting, and Clyde (the other guy) said, "heck, I even owned a Buell for a while..." "You DID?!?!..." We then began a dialogue on the virtues of the Ulysses, and how we'd both be still riding ours, except... Anyway, very nice (and unexpected) encounter. --Doc |

OK....since you left it hanging. You'd still be riding your Uly except...? Inquiring minds want to know. Later, EV |

I believe it was because they had left him stranded and Mrs. Greg would have to come to his rescue. Good to hear from you Dr. Greg! I'm still riding my Uly and it's still doing well. |

Yes; I still felt I had a good hundred-thousand miles left in me (has almost proven to be true) and I wasn't sure the Uly did as well (without more TLC than I was prepared to give). Although it DID strand me four times (each within 100 miles of home, luckily) it still remains my emotional favorite. Always enjoyable to happen on folks who feel the same. --Doc |

Original owner ‘06 Uly. It is ready to turn 50K miles. I think it and I have another 50K in us HA. I bought a LiveWire and it is my primary ride now (locally). |

Same here, except it left me stranded twice. I still think it's a great bike, one of the best, but there were some issues. Bearing on the output shaft also went, which meant tearing down the entire bike. I rode it for a few thousand km's more after that and (when it left me stranded due to another busted VR) sold it to a friend of mine. He's since sold it on as well, when he did, the gearbox had once again started making noises you don't want to hear. Still... it's a phenomenal bike. Should have been a smash hit for Buell. Shame they were just a bit too soon to really ride the sportstouring/adventure popularity wave. |

I loved my 06. I gave out before it did. It carried me right about 70,000 fantastic miles. |
