I've had a NoCo (from Amazon) in my '08 for a year. The NoCo has provided good service - it'll be interesting to see what service life I get out of it. Also in NFL, on the Redneck Riviera, so really cold weather isn't an issue. I take back what I posted a while back - most automotive batteries have onboard management systems, so you can charge them with pretty much any source. |

My brother put one in right before we went to Buelltoberfest. When he'd start the bike it pulled down so low he would lose his clock and trip odometers. He returned it and got an AGM. He did all the test they asked him to do but in the end it pulled down to under 5 volts during start-up. They even admitted it might not work for a Harley. After he explained it was basically a Harley engine but with more compression they conceded. |

I'm into the sixth year with a Shorai in my Ulysses. The battery is packaged to be nearly the same size as the original battery, so fitting is easy. I'm in the vicinity of Phoenix AZ, winter starts are rarely lower than the upper 30s. It's probably not below 40 in my garage. No complaints |
