Reset button has been difficult to operate since new, now does not work at all. Anyone replace the reset or mode button? |

I looked into this years ago when I had the cluster apart replacing the backlighting bulbs and I think this link is for a physically similar switch (caveat - this was in a folder from at least 10 years ago so double-check). I do have a picture of the Buell switch but at the moment can't get it to upload to the message - this is a very delicate soldering operation so approach with caution. https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/omron-e lectronics-inc-emc-div/B3F-1062/1811726?s=N4IgTCBc DaIMoHUCMSDsAOAtAOQCIgF0BfIA&vendor=0 |

FWIW, this is a photo of the Buell switches - the forum was running dog-slow for me last night and just couldn't get a photo added to the post. (actually a cropped screen-shot of an expanded photo so not exactly HD).

Before you go to all the effort of replacing the switch, you might try hitting it with something like DeOxit spray. It may be able to clean the contact surfaces. |

DeOxit, haven't tried it but will. I hope works. I can sweat copper fittings just fine, but circuit boards; not even going to try. "I've got a guy for that." I hope i don't need him Thanks for assisting. |

And now for something completely different! I soldered two wires to the switch connection on the board and ran them up the bars to the high beam flasher button I never used. Now I can change modes without letting go of the bars. That doesn't cure your reset button but it sure is handy when wearing heavy gloves! |
