Hello All, I've tried a few different silencers ( including stock) to quiet down my bike. I've settled on a pipe with a DB killer but at 3000rpm ( where I Cruise) it still blows through really loud. So after a bit of digging, I'm going to mod a KTM 1190 pipe to fit. It's a large Vtwin about the same displacement ( A kinda successor to the Ulysees). The thing is massive, but there probably enough space underneath. Modern adventure bikes all seem to have the same large resonator style installed https://www.lonerider-motorcycle.com/blogs/loneriderblog/top-5-adventure-motorcycles-of-2020-the-big-boys ( looking inside it's a car-style resonator with pipes and chambers). Modern bikes also seem to have 2 part exhausts with a 1st stage Cat box which does a lot of silencing. Hopefully, just the resonator will create some nice middle ground. A bit of bass without the drone. Wish me luck. Regards

1 thought here ( just found this ) the early super trap had a 2 piece set up like this, depending on your mounting arrangement if the header pipe separates from the can and the nose of the can drops you could "pole vault" Super Trapp, recalled all mufflers that did not front mount with a sturdy mount that could not fall. there is a Y mount on the later tube frames that prevents that, be sure to tie into that. |

Make sure you post updates! Curious to see how this goes and what you come up with. Are you planning on reworking your headers, or do you think you'll be able to make an adapter midpipe to connect the stock headers straight to this exhaust? |

Looks like a promising solution. I see you were a couple "cows" in when you shot the photo |
