So, one cylinder cut out in the rain. Plug wire, I'm sure. That, I can take care of.

Transmission is acting up ever since my stator replacement. 3-4-5-4-3 work fine. 1-2 and 3-2 and 2-1 flat out SUCK.

Primary is adjusted on the tight side like usual (1/4" or so).

Clutch is between 1/4 and 1/2 turn from lightly bottomed; less than 1/4" lever freeplay at the grip.

The ONLY change - and I'll switch this tonight when I get home - is the shift lever is installed one tooth off from where it was, so I could get adjustment on the linkage. before, the linkage was full-shortened, and I figured I'd clock the lever one tooth so I could get some adjustment in the linkage. Maybe that angle change is enough?

If memory serves I think the 1/4" primary adjustment was a hot dimension.
The linkage was something I had to change also when I put the lowered pegs on. Definitely position the lever to get the most leverage for the shift. That fixed my issue.

When you lightly bottom the clutch adjusting screw squeeze the clutch level a few times to set the balls on the ramp after initial bottoming and you will discover that there is more room to tighten the screw and what you felt was the fake bottom, the real bottom is deeper.

Joe, I have a pair of XB plug wires. If you want them, I'll throw them in the mail.

Thanks RD - I ordered a set through a buddy at my old shop, gonna pick them up this weekend.

After I figure out why I have nothing but neutral in the bike (see my clutch thread).

Possession is always the question of, "Has he taken possession of or been taken possession of?".

You are welcome.
